On the weekend of Pentecost, many united to bring a successful outcome for the teachers and students at St. Antoine School in Fondwa, Haiti, a rural community high in the mountains. The Hearts
for Haiti Committee thanks all who prayed, spread the word, baked goodies, sold them at tables, purchased them, and/or made donations. The happy outcome is a profit of $2012, which goes far to covering an annual teacher's salary for the upcoming school year. In the last bulletin, we listed the names of those who were serving as sellers. We give warm thanks today to the bakers whose names we recorded: Barbara Adams, Nancy Blankenstein, Dory Dominguez, Julie Evans, Melissa and Mathew Evans, Cathy Gleason, Ellen Gunnell, Michelle Hebert, Meg Heinlein, Carol Henry, Donna Hillbeck, Sonya Ivy, Dianne Jandrasits, Kathy Kegarise, Ellen Kline, Andrea Leavitt, Beth Lewis, Mary Lucidi, Ann Massey, Anne McCafferty, Mary McCormick, Heather McGrath, Joyce McPeak, Pat Miller, Georgia Moncada, Donna Naab, Diane Owen, Jeanine Sismour, Gretchen Stiehl, Mary Rose Stuhldreher, and Ninfa Yurcon. Their baked goods were delicious! Apologies to any whose names are not listed and heartfelt thanks to past bakers as well. Especially helpful were the efforts of our baking/selling recruiter, Ellen Gunnell, who
reached out with many phone calls, and Pat Miller, who reached out through her email list. !
Brochures about Hearts for Haiti continue to be available in the church pamphlet racks.!
