Cleveland is 6-6 all-time on Christmas, including a perfect 5-0 at home. The last time the Cavs played on December 25th at home was in 2008, which was a 93-89 win over the Washington Wizards. Cleveland and Golden State are the first opponents to meet in The Finals and on Christmas Day in back-to-back seasons. Today is their first matchup since the 2016 Finals, when the Cavs defeated the Warriors 4-3. The Cavs became the first team in league history to overcome a 3-1 series deficit to win The Finals, earning their first NBA championship and ending a 52-year title drought for major pro sports teams in Cleveland. became the first team in NBA history to have consecutive regular season games with 20 three-pointers or more after knocking down a then franchise record 21 threes against Portland on Nov. 23 and 20 versus Dallas on Nov. 25. Cleveland is also the only team to accomplish this feat in the playoffs as well (2016 Semifinals versus Atlanta: 25 3FGM in Game 2 and 21 3FGM in Game 3).

o NBA-RECORD 16 THREES IN A HALF: Cleveland set an NBA record for threes made in a half with 16

triples in the first half in a 137-125 win over Portland on Nov. 23. The Cavs finished with a Quicken Loans Arena regular season record for three-pointers in a single game, knocking down 21-36 (.583) shots from deep.

o DOUBLE-DIGIT THREE-POINT RECORD TO START SEASON: Cleveland made at least 10 three-

pointers in their first 16 games of the 2016-17 season, setting an NBA record for consecutive games with 10 or more triples to start a season (prev. held by Houston, first eight games in 2014-15).

HIGH Q: At The Q this season, the Cavs are averaging 114.8 points, which includes five contests with 120 points or more. Since March 25, 2014, Cleveland holds a 69-5 record

o 50-40-90: In a 128-90 home win over Dallas on Nov. 25, Cleveland shot over 50% from the field (.506), 40% from the three-point line (.465) and 90% from the foul line

(.917). It marked just the fourth time since the 2000-01 season the Cavs have had a 50-40-90 game (4/5/16 vs. MIL, 3/13/07 vs. SAC, 12/11/01 vs. HOU).

o 86.7% FROM THE FIELD IN A QUARTER: In a 128-120 home win over Houston on Nov. 1, Cleveland scored 43 points in the fourth quarter, which was three

points shy of their team record for points in a period (46, three occasions). In the final period, the Cavs shot 13-15 (.867) from the field, which was their highest field goal percentage in a quarter since Dec. 15, 1999, when they went 15-17 (.882) in the fourth at New Jersey. James became the first player with 44 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and .700 FG percentage in a game since Wilt Chamberlain on March 18, 1968 (53/32/14/.828). It was James’ 56th career 40-point game and 9th career game with at least 40 points and 10 assists. POINTS/ASSISTS DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN A HALF: James has recorded a points-assists double-double in a single half twice this season (Nov. 15 vs. Toronto, Nov. 23 vs. Portland). In the

121-117 win over Toronto on Nov. 15, he recorded 28 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds, including 15 points and 10 assists over the final two quarters. It marked the 1st time in his NBA career that James compiled at least 10 points and 10 assists in a second half. 1,000TH CAREER GAME: LeBron James had 19 points, five rebounds and 11 assists in his 1,000th career regular-season game, a 128-90 victory over Dallas on Nov. 25. In doing so, James

LUE IN CHARGE: Cavaliers Head Coach Tyronn Lue was named the NBA Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for games played in October and November. It marked the first time Lue has earned

Coach of the Month accolades and the 14th time in franchise history a coach has won the honor. Lue led the Cavaliers to the best record in the East during October and November at 13-3 (.813). During that span, the Cavs averaged an Eastern Conference-best 111.3 points and led the East in points differential (+7.5 points per game), three-pointers made (221) and three-point percentage (.390), while ranking fifth in field goal percentage (.451) and fifth in assists per game (22.9). ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs sold out all 41 regular season home games in 2015-16, the third time in franchise history the team has accomplished that feat (2009-10 and 2014-15). To date,

including regular season (398) and playoffs (55), there have been 453 sellouts at The Q and 119 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).

THE CAVALIERS ON WTAM: Cleveland Cavaliers fans will be able to follow the club all season

game in Spanish on the Cavaliers broadcast on LA MEGA 87.7 FM. La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2016-17 season is the third in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. Following the game broadcast, he also hosts the postgame show, which features a complete recap with highlights and postgame commentary.

Nationally, Hernández Brito’s broadcasting experience includes 8 years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts on Univision from 2005 to 2013, and he has worked 11 Super Bowls. He was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins, as well as handling the play by play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa has covered the last five Soccer World Cups. CAVALIERS AND WARRIORS PRESENTING KIDS WITH GIFTS PRIOR TO CHRISTMAS DAY GAME: ‘Tis the season to spread good cheer, and the Cavs will be doing

just that for a group of Cleveland-area children on Sunday. The Cavs will welcome to the game 32 kids (ages 8-12) from the City of Cleveland Recreation Department for a “Christmas Day Gift Giveaway.” The participating kids will take the floor with both the Cavs and Warriors for the national anthem. Following the anthem, the players and head coaches from both teams will give the kids their presents. Each child will receive a brand-new Chromebook and a Cavs Fathead. With new gifts in hand, the kids and their chaperones will then enjoy the Cavs-Warriors matchup in suites provided by the Cavs. The team is also providing transportation for the group to and from The Q that day. The Christmas Day Gift Giveaway is part of a NBA-wide initiative, as the teams playing in the other Christmas Day games will be doing something similar.
