first team in NBA history to have consecutive regular season games with 20 three-pointers or more after knocking down a then franchise record 21 threes against Portland on Nov. 23 and 20 versus Dallas on Nov. 25. Cleveland is also the first team to accomplish this feat in the playoffs as well (2016 Semifinals versus Atlanta: 25 3FGM in Game 2 and 21 3FGM in Game 3).

NBA-RECORD 16 THREES IN A HALF: Cleveland set an NBA record for threes made in a half with 16 triples in the first

half in a 137-125 win over Portland on Nov. 23. The Cavs finished with a Quicken Loans Arena regular season record for three-pointers in a single game, knocking down 21-36 (.583) shots from deep.

DOUBLE-DIGIT THREE-POINT RECORD TO START SEASON: Cleveland made at least 10 three-pointers in their first 16 games of the 2016-17 season, setting an NBA record for

50-40-90: In a 128-90 home win over Dallas on Nov. 25, Cleveland shot over 50% from the field (.506), 40% from the three-point line (.465) and 90% from the foul line (.917). It marked just the

SEEING STARS: Kyrie Irving (starter), LeBron James (starter) and Kevin Love (reserve) have been selected to the Eastern Conference roster in the

2017 NBA All-Star Game. This will be the first time the Cavs will have multiple starters in the event and the third time that three Cavs players have been selected to an All-Star roster (Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance and Mark Price in 1989 and 1993).

James became the first player with 44 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and .700 FG percentage in a game since Wilt Chamberlain on March 18, 1968 (53/32/14/.828). It was James’ 56th career 40-point game and 9th career game with at least 40 points and 10 assists. FIRST IN CAVS HISTORY W/32-7-17: In a win at Washington on Feb. 6, James had 32 points (12-18 FG, 6-8 3FG), seven

rebounds and a career-high 17 assists in 42 minutes, becoming the first player in team history to record 32-7-17 in a game.

POINTS/ASSISTS DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN A HALF: James has recorded a points-assists double-double in a single half three

times this season (Nov. 15 vs. Toronto, Nov. 23 vs. Portland, Feb. 6 at Washington). In the 121-117 win over Toronto on Nov. 15, he recorded 28 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds, including 15 points and 10 assists over the final two quarters. It marked the 1st time in his NBA career that James compiled at least 10 points and 10 assists in a second half. James became the first Cavs player with at least 10 points and 10 assists in the second half of a game since Andre Miller during the 2001-02 campaign.

1,000TH CAREER GAME: LeBron James had 19 points, five rebounds and 11 assists in his 1,000th career regular-season game, a 128-90 victory over Dallas on Nov. 25. In doing so, James

THE CAVS ON LA MEGA 87.7 FM: Veteran broadcaster Rafael Hernández Brito, known as Rafa "El Alcalde", continues to bring his high-energy play-by-play style to each

game in Spanish on the Cavaliers broadcast on LA MEGA 87.7 FM. La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2016-17 season is the third in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. Following the game broadcast, he also hosts the postgame show, which features a complete recap with highlights and postgame commentary.

Nationally, Hernández Brito’s broadcasting experience includes 8 years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts on Univision from 2005 to 2013, and he has worked 11 Super Bowls. He was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins, as well as handling the play by play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa has covered the last five Soccer World Cups. With the 2015 NBA Finals, he became the first broadcaster in the United States to call the Finals of all 3 major sports in Spanish.

THE CAVALIERS 13TH ANNUAL BLACK HERITAGE CELEBRATION PRESENTED BY HENNESSY: The Cleveland Cavaliers 13th annual Black Heritage Celebration (BHC)

presented by Hennessy tipped off on February 1st at the Cavs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game at Quicken Loans Arena. The BHC, a salute to Black History Month in February, recognizes the extraordinary past achievements of African Americans throughout history and celebrates those making a difference in the Cleveland community today.

The month-long celebration will be themed “Empowering and Inspiring One Generation to the Next.” Each theme night will honor African American visionaries and pioneers who inspired the youth of today. Featured will be the stories of NASA’s Annie Easley and Dr. Guy Bluford; Cuyahoga Community College’s year-long educational program about the achievements of Carl and Louis Stokes; and the great Muhammad Ali. The BHC will also provide young professionals with an ultimate learning experience through the Marcus Graham Project marketing workshop. “The Cavaliers continue the tradition of the Black Heritage Celebration with a program built to honor African American visionaries of the past, spark conversation about the future and recognize those determined to make an impact today for the betterment of coming generations,” said Campy Russell, Cavaliers Legend and BHC committee leader.

Throughout the Black Heritage Celebration, the Cavs will showcase inspiring moments in African American history through interviews with Cavs players and legends, and special halftime tributes and performances. There will also be several community outreach initiatives throughout Black History Month (February) as Cavs front office team members volunteer their time and service to projects in Northeast Ohio.
