Kerri Bodin (Richmond Islanders ‘92B) is an exceptional young lady who has overcome the death of a close family member. Her father and assistant coach, Lorne, passed away in January from cancer. For many years, he participated in the Ride to Con-quer Cancer and supported lots of charities. Bodin has continued this through her work to raise money for cancer research, taking part in Relay for Life in Richmond on June 18. Bodin recently cut her hair so that it could be made into a wig for a cancer sufferer. In addition, her coach Robin Fenn says she is having her best year at the plate.
