This clever little rock house

you’ll see a tiny rock outhouse

Manager’s NotesHoliday Season
It's hard to believe that we are now in the final month of 2018. Time
can certainly fly! The Holidays tend to provide us with traditions
and rituals that bring people together. Most of us will gather with
friends and family to celebrate and enjoy the Season. Whatever you
may gather to celebrate, this can also be a time of reflection. It is also
the ideal time to reflect on our community and 'extended family'
here in Rincon Country.
Community Improvements, continued
There are a number of friends and neighbors who could perhaps use
some help or encouragement. Can you give of your time to help? You
can volunteer for activities, help a neighbor in need, just visit
someone who may be alone. This is the season of peace and goodwill
– let's do our best to extend that throughout the year. We can all
participate in enhancing the sense of Community that is so essential
to peaceful and cooperative living!
We also remind you that these cats will be in better shape when
released than when they were trapped. Do NOT release any of them
from the traps. This program is in place for the health of the
Community. If you care about cats, and/or the community, we need
your complete cooperation!
Wow! Doesn't it look really incredible around our Park now? It has
all had a major renewal, and truly shines. Not only does this provide
a lovely place to live, but it will do great things for property values
should you ever decide to sell. It will also encourage residents to
choose our lovely Park when they may want to place a new or late-
model home.
The family pool will be finished shortly (if not by the time you read
this), and once it is operable work will begin on the main pool. The
spa should be nearing completion as well. We will make sure that the
family pool is completely operable and open prior to closing the
main pool for repair.
Park Appearance
Again, we extend a hearty “Thank You” to those who have cleaned
up their yards, carports, and those who have participated in the tree-
trimming opportunity.
All the maintenance and repair you do greatly enhances the overall
appearance of the community. We can do a lot of updates and
improvements on the Park's end, but it also comes down to the
residents doing their part as well. The condition of your own homes
and spaces has a major effect on the attractiveness and quality of the
Park. We can't do it without you!
TNR and Free-Roaming Cats
There will be another round of trapping feral and homeless cats this
month. Again, we tell you that you MUST NOT FEED THEM. This is
essential for the trapping program to work. We are trying to
eliminate the breeding, spraying, fighting, etc., that accompanies
unneutered animals.
Consider that when you feed these animals, and they gather around
your home, it creates problems for your neighbors as well. They
experience the spraying and feces on their property, the smell, the
noise, and all the negatives that accompany this problem. This
NOTICE: RCMHP does NOT endorse, recommend, or warranty any service
providers in this newsletter.
This, we also cannot allow, and it will be reflected back onto the
person feeding the animals.
Also, they must not be left unattended in a screened-in porch. This is
not the interior of your home, and if they are out there and free to
bark at passers-by they are not under your control, and there is
nothing to mitigate the noise. They must be accompanied by the
owner in that instance as well, and quieted if they begin to make
noise. Again, consider your neighbors!
On to 2019!
So, we wish you all the very best Holiday Season. May you
experience the joy and companionship of family and friends, and
may our Community draw closer together throughout the
upcoming year.
“The world is difficult, and we are all breakable. So just be kind.”
– Caitlin Moran

To keep the library as current as possible, we
donated some books to “Friends of the Pima
County Library”, an organization which
supports the Pima County Library with
proceeds from book sales. Last year they
donated just over $270,000.00. We now have
more space to receive new donations.
Our library is divided into two sections: (1) The
Library and (2) The Billiard/ Library/Poker
Room (BLPR). The Library contains standard
s ize paperbacks , the display shelves ,
magazines, a box for suggestions or requests,
and a Book Return and Donation box. The
adjacent BLPR contains additional fiction, both
hardbound and oversized paperback, and our
non-fiction section (located around the corner
by the pool table). You will also find another box
for book returns and donations.
Immediately upon entering the Library, to your
right, you will find a bookshelf dedicated to
romance novels by various authors. It is
arranged according to the publisher's series
rather than author. You can still find more

romance, by popular authors, throughout the
fiction section.
The shelves under the mirror are reserved for a
display of new arrivals and featured books. Take a
look. You may find authors to add to your list of
favorites. If you read a book that you especially
enjoy, leave a note in the back of the book or drop a
recommendation in the suggestion box and we will
feature it.
Bonnie Brosseau
PLEASE DO NOT SHELVE BOOKS YOURSELF.
Use the designated boxes. We have a system to
check in new and returned books to get them
properly labeled and shelved so we can manage
the flow of books through the library. By shelving
books yourself you bypass our system.
Books in large print can easily be identified by their
red dot labels.
One other reminder: the library is primarily a
collection of reading material to borrow and
return. It is not a study library, even though there is
a table available for convenience. Please share the
space and be considerate of your neighbors.

ROAD RUNNER NEWS
This is my last president message. It has been a busy year. We have
had a Hawaiian Luau. We played bean bag baseball. We had our
Senior Olympics we also had a Senior Prom with handmade
corsages. We served breakfast, Mother and Father Day luncheon.
We also honored 9/11 and we celebrated our veterans on Veterans
Day. We celebrated 4th of July, Labor day and Thanksgiving, we
also celebrated New Years eve. We danced the night away, we had
ice cream socials. We even learned to round dance, and we did
some dances sitting down.
I want to wish Nellie Webb and her board a successful year. Nellie
has a lot of great ideas for us. The only way she can do this is to
have your support. Give her a chance, you may like it.
First I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy
Chanukah, and a Happy New Year.
RINCON CARES In October, a few of our residents received their flu vaccines
here from Walgreens. Thank you to Stephanie Gomez, from
Walgreens, who wanted to make sure that we were protected
from a contagious flu. It did not matter to her how many
would show up for the free vaccine. Next year, we will
schedule flu vaccines to be given in September.
