Ask about other Homes for Sale
This year we are offering many activities on a weekend and evenings so everyone has a chance to receive their 5 card poker hand to be able to attend the Luau Feast. Prizes for top three poker hands from cards drawn at each event attended will be announced during the Luau Feast which will be held
Sunday March 31st begins our annual Rincon Olympics and ending Saturday, April 6th with the Luau Cruise and Feast. This event brings the residents together participating in activities and events we have to offer on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
on the pool deck of our make believe cruise ship. The Feast is in place of the picnic style we formerly have had. The theme ending our Olympics is a cruise to Hawaii! So Hawaiian attire is encouraged. After the Luau Feast everyone and guests may attend the evening's entertainment with doors reopening at 5:45 entering the Captain's Entertainment Hall of the cruise ship. Performances by the Hula Gals, Warriors, and our very own Cactus River Band will be from 6-9:30 on April 6th. Also hoping to have a paddle auction in between performances. Those details next month!

MANAGER’S NOTES
Security
The Boulevard is lit up nicely. The lights in the pool and
breezeway area look beautiful at night. A big thank you to all
that contributed to the final completion of pool area. It looks
amazing.
Lighting
Community Improvements
Pets
Lighting is a daily job. We are working on it every day and I
hope you can have some patience with our staff during this
time. They will get to your light. The lights at the street belong to
the park and must have white bulbs in them for safety and
security purposes. If you would like a colored light in your
home in honor of something or someone, please feel free, but
lights at the street will be checked nightly and colored light
bulbs will be changed out.
Appliances
Happy Spring!
Derek Doran will pick up used appliances for free if they are at
the curb. He will not pick up TV's. His phone number is 520-
370-6335.
Please no feeding the cats in the park. The javelinas are eating
the cat food that people are putting out and making a mess of
the park. Although we can not keep them out of the park we can
all help by making sure our friends and neighbors are not
feeding them. Please be cautious with your pets and do not
leave them outside unattended.
There is no longer any parking of golf carts in front of the
Clubhouse. Please park in the designated golf cart parking
spots only. If anyone has a guest and they need to park at the
Clubhouse, please make sure they come to the office to get
permission and a parking pass.
Please keep your pets off of the landscaping in the park and that
includes the grass.
Please remember to call in your guests at the guard shack. If you
have requested for someone to come to your home to do work,
make sure they have your phone number so they can contact
you or access will be denied. The warm season is upon us. We
could end up with unwanted visitors so please be cautious and
remember to lock your homes and doors. If you have an
emergency please call 911 yourself! Do not wait for security to
do it for you as that is wasting valuable time for your friends
or loved ones.
Parking
Now that the weather is warmer PLEASE SLOW DOWN.
There are a lot of walkers with dogs. The speed limit is no
more than 10 MPH.
Speed Limit
Clubhouse Use
Please make sure if you donate food items, do not leave it
outside on the benches, please put all donated food items in
the Kitchen.
Please make sure to clean up after yourself.
Please do not walk from the hot tub into the Exercise room
wet, the wood floors are getting ruined from the water and it
is very slippery.
If you decorate for a function please take down your
decorations when the function or holiday is over.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Shaun or
Tammy in the office.

YOUR PHOTOSARE IN COLOR!
Napping By Dr. Andrew Weil
Ÿ Take naps when you can. If your schedule does not permit a nap every day, consider taking
productive naps as a passenger in cars, trains, and airplanes.
Ÿ Napping can mean just taking a break. Lying on a hammock or just staring into space is the essence
of rest - it is not doing that refreshes you in body and mind.
Ÿ Do not fight the body's desire to nap. This will result in unpleasant or unproductive naps.
Ÿ Consider time and duration. Napping for too long, too often, or at the wrong time of day can be
counterproductive. See what length and schedule works best for you.
Studies on sleep and the opinions of
sleep experts are convincing: napping
has value. People who nap generally
enjoy better mental health and mental
efficiency than people who do not. The
quality of their nighttime sleep tends to be better as well. Unfortunately, finding opportunities to rest
during daylight hours in our society is not so easy - the North American culture is actively opposed to
the whole concept, bombarding us with stimulation in more and more places and times. If you want to
embrace the concept of napping - as many cultures worldwide do - consider the following:
Ÿ Accept napping as a positive thing. Remind yourself frequently that napping can make a day more
productive - it is actually the opposite of being lazy.

Our Road Runner General Meeting will be on Friday, April
5th, right after coffee and announcements, as we are
preparing for the Luau on Saturday morning, April 6th. Come
join us at 9:00a on April 6th for your last chance at a poker
event card for your admission to the Luau Feast. This will
involve set up of tables and chairs outside along with
decorating them, on our imaginary cruise ship to Hawaii.
Remember, you need to attend 5 events to get your wrist band
for the Luau Feast. The festivities start at 3:30 for those
receiving the wristbands and then doors reopen for everyone
at 5:45. Guests are welcome with usual notice to security.
Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
Road Runner President
Many of us have studied or heard of Maslow hierarchy of
needs, a theory in psychology which there are five basic needs
of safety, love, belonging, self esteem and self actualization.
Springtime has come and our winter seemed longer, cooler,
and wetter than what we are used to in Tucson. Looking
forward to the warmer days.
Looking forward to the Rincon Olympics and Luau. We have
been working hard organizing and rehearsing for you. See all
the details on the schedule of events and come join us for all
the fun during the first week of April.
RINCON CARES
Our Neighborhood Feast was postponed and rescheduled for
Tuesday, April 9th at 6P. We are still doing the Colorado state
theme. This would be a great time to come and share if you
hail from Colorado. Bring your dish to share, and table
settings.
Our next band will be May 18th with a band we have not had
before called Full Coverage.
Nellie Webb
Happy to see our pools and hot tub open! Doesn't the pool
area look great?
FINAL EXIT
Our first priority is safety. We need to feel safe in our
homes, with our families and friends, and when we leave
our homes we need to feel safe in our outside
environment; when we are walking, driving in our cars,
catching the bus and even when we are at our community
center. We need to be aware of our surroundings in this
world today. Who are those strangers in the park? Are
there cracks in the sidewalks that could cause a person to
trip and fall? Are they slippery after a rainfall? Is there
adequate lighting at night in the park? After a rain, are
there deep puddles by entry ways? Are there non-slip
mats at doorways? These are just some questions we
should ask ourselves about our environment. If you see
anything that is unsafe, report it to the office as soon as
possible. It needs immediate attention.
Respectfully submitted by Mary EcKdahl,
A resident in the park shared some information with me
concerning transportation. If you need a ride to the VA
medical center, they will provide it for you. Call them at
792-1450 ext. 4626. Another is a taxi cab will take you to the
VA, for $30 one way. Call number 300-0000. Thank you,
Charlie Plotnik for sharing this information.
Just a reminder that the Caring Basket will be at meetings
for your concerns and letting us know of deaths and
hospitalization. We live in this community together. Let's
be happy.
RINCON CARES President
thOn Tuesday, April 16 at 7pm, we will have a speaker from
the Final Exit Network. This organization will inform you
of the personal right you have to die with dignity. Have
you ever said 'when my time comes, I hope I just go to
sleep and not wake up?' Well, you do have that choice.
Come to the meeting, listen, ask questions, think about it.
Hope to see you there. Invite a neighbor who might be
interested.
