PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Masses during the week of April 17 - April 21
st, 2017, as Fr. Roger will be away. The
Parish Office will also be closed during that time. Vocation Cross: It is the 10:30 Mass' turn for a family to take home the Vocation Cross for one week, to pray daily for vocations and for a Deacon to help Fr. Roger in his priestly duties. Return the Cross the following Sunday and put it on the credence table in the Sanctuary. A Date to Remember: The Ladies Auxiliary will hold their “Card Party” on May 10, 2016 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at
the Bloxom Fire House, 15312 Bayside Dr., Bloxom, VA 23308 You can celebrate God’s love and mercy to each other by going to a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend. The next weekends are: June 23-25, 2017 in Chapel Hill, NC and September 15-17,2017 in Herndon, VA Early sign up is recommended. Donut and Bake Sale: On April 29 & 30 there will be a bake sale and donut sale at St. Peter’s after all Massess. The money will be used to purchase a new nativity scene for outside of our newly renovated church. PLEASE BRING BAKED GOODS DONATIONS to the church before all masses. th@ 10:00AM at St. Charles Church, Cape Charles. Any

Religious Education Classes will not be held on April 16
th (Easter). Classes will resume on April 23
rd at the regular time. Parents of
children receiving First Reconciliation need to remember that First Reconciliation is on April 22 (the Saturday after Easter). Confirmation class is cancelled Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. 33 Days to Morning Glory Small Group Retreat: The retreat continues at St. Peter’s, April 10 - May 13, 2017. Join us for a 6-week small group-retreat and gain new insights into Marian Consecration. Learn how key saints and the blessed lived. For information call Tom Famulari at 757-678-0157. The Pregnancy Center’s Walk for Life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Onancock. The Pregnancy Center is extending an invitation to Saint Peter’s parishioners to again send a team of participants. The Ladies’ Auxiliary is offering an Annual Scholarship to a High School senior confirmed at St. Peter, St. Andrew or St. Charles Catholic churches. Applications close April 15, 2017. Please see the bulletin Board for more details. The Knights of Columbus have available the Paul Braunstein Scholarship/Grant monies for the Youth of St. Peter the Apostle
Catholic Church that are planning to attend college in the fall. If your parents are registered at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and
you have an interest in applying for the Scholarship/Grant monies, the applications are available in the Parish Office. Applications must
be submitted to the Church Office by May 24, 2017.

As Bishop DiLorenzo celebrates his 75th birthday on April 15th, he will also submit his letter to
the Holy Father, Pope Francis, announcing he has reached the age limit for a Bishop. Once his
letter is submitted, the Diocese begins a waiting period until an announcement from the
Vatican is made.
You are encouraged to visit the Diocese’s main webpage (www.richmonddiocese.org) where
you can find additional information should you have any questions. Thank you for your
continued prayers for our Diocese and our Bishop.
On May 7th at the 8:00 AM Mass, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, will honor
the deceased members of the Auxiliary, followed by breakfast at the Inn & Garden Café
restaurant, 145 Market Street, Onancock.
