TO ALL OUR VISITORS
PRAYER TO THE PATRON SAINT OF THE
UNEMPLOYED
Are you or someone you know facing unemployment
due to the pandemic? Well, there's a saint for that.
St. Cajetan was canonized by Pope Clement X in 1671
and is the patron saint of job-seekers and the
unemployed. During these uncertain times, we offer this
prayer to Saint Cajetan.
Prayer to Saint Cajetan
Glorious St. Cajetan, acclaimed by all people to be the
Father of Providence because you provide miraculous aid
to all who come to you in need, I stand here before you
today, asking that you present to the Lord the requests
that I confidently deposit in your hands. May these graces
that I now request help me to always see the Kingdom of
God and His righteousness, knowing that God who dresses
with beauty the flowers of the field and abundantly feeds
the birds of the sky will give me all other things. Amen.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
for Protection from the Coronavirus
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, we entrust ourselves to you,
Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross, you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
Patroness of the Diocese of Jefferson City, you know what
we need.
We are certain of the power of your intercession, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might
return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the
Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us.
He, who taught us to “love one another as I have loved
you,” took our sufferings upon Himself and bore our sorrows
to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the
Resurrection.
Bring, under your mantle of protection, all who provide
care for the sick and minister to their needs, as your Son
implores us to do for one another.
V. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of
God.
R. Do not despise our pleas, but deliver us from every
danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
The Parish staff is still working (with the front door closed to
visitors) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

primarily a practical program to
improve communication, build stronger
marriages, and help couples
reconnect. Presenters are not trained
marriage counselors, but are couples
sharing their personal stories of marital
struggles and the tools they used to
rediscover their love. The next session
is May 29 in Kansas City, KS. For more

The Immaculate
Heart of Mary is the
patroness of our
Diocese. Bishop
McKnight asks all our
parishes to celebrate
this feast on June 21.
May Prayer Intention for Our Local Church: As we honor the Mother
of our Lord as the “Queen of May,” may there be a greater respect
and appreciation for all women on earth who nourish us in mind,
body and soul.
I invite all to join Archbishop José Gomez, president of the United
States Conference of Catholic Bishops and archbishop of
Los Angeles, in re-consecrating our nation to Mary, Mother of the
Church, on May 1, at 1:00 p.m. CT, at facebook.com/usccb. We will
join the bishops and faithful in Canada as they consecrate their
country to Mary under the same title. This re-consecration will give
the Church the occasion to pray for Our Lady’s continued
protection of the vulnerable, healing of the unwell, and wisdom
for those who work to cure COVID-19.
On April 17, Bishop McKnight extended and modified a decree
which dispenses the faithful from the Sunday Mass obligation and
restricts the type of public gatherings in the 95 parishes of the
Diocese. The decree was originally set to expire April 30, but has
now been extended through June 30.
BISHOP MCKNIGHT’S MESSAGES
PRAYER FOR A COMMUNION OF DESIRE
My Jesus, I believe You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my
soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, renew my heart now with the power of Your Spirit. I embrace
You and unite myself wholly to You. Unite me more closely to Your Body, the Church. And never permit me to be separated
from You. Amen.
