EASTER PEOPLE
How well do you know the Gospel
story of Easter? Find out by
identifying these important people.
1. Jesus was buried in my tomb.
Who am I?
2. We were guarding the tomb.
Who are we?
3. I was the first to see our risen Lord,
but I thought he was a gardener.
Who am I?
4. I raced with Peter to the tomb
(and got there first) when I heard
Jesus wasn't there. Who am I?
5. When I saw our risen Lord, I tried
to walk on the water to meet
him. Who am I?
6. I wouldn’t believe that Jesus had
risen from the dead until I
touched the wounds in his hands
and side. Who am I?
7. Jesus sent me to his disciples;
then I went with them as he sent
them out to preach the Good
News. Who am I?
CDs
The Parish recently purchased CDs
from the Augustine Institute. CDs are
located in the Baptism Room.
This is a crash course in history proving
that the Bible is a Catholic book.
Matthew Arnold offers convincing
evidence showing that the Church
has faithfully proclaimed and
preserved the fullness of God’s Word
down through the centuries. This will
provide the facts you need.
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 15. If you already purchased tickets
for the event on May 5, hold on to them. They will be good for September 15!
Answers: 1. Joseph of Arimathea;
2. Roman soldiers; 3. Mary Magdalene;
4. John; 5. Peter; 6. Thomas; 7. Holy Spirit
The Knights of Columbus are Catholic men, 18
years of age and older, who are committed to
making their community a better place while
supporting their Church and protecting and

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
RESURRECTION CEMETERY
Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
for Protection from the Coronavirus
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, we entrust ourselves to you,
Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross, you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
Patroness of the Diocese of Jefferson City, you know what
we need.
We are certain of the power of your intercession, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might
return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the
Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us.
He, who taught us to “love one another as I have loved
you,” took our sufferings upon Himself and bore our sorrows
to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the
Resurrection.
Bring, under your mantle of protection all who provide
care for the sick and minister to their needs, as your Son
implores us to do for one another.
V. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of
God.
R. Do not despise our pleas, but deliver us from every
danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
The Parish staff is still working (with the front door closed to
visitors) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
If you need anything, call us at 573-635-7992 or email us at

EASTER SUNDAY PRAYER
God our Father,
by raising Christ Your Son,
you conquered the power of death
and opened for us the way to eternal life.
Let our celebration today raise us up
and renew our lives by the Spirit that is within us.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot, at this moment, receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

DECREE ON PASTORAL ACTIVITIES DURING THE
COVID-19 PANDEMIC
On March 31, 2020, Bishop W. Shawn McKnight issued a decree that is
in effect until April 30, 2020. Part of the decree reads as follows:
“Public celebrations of the liturgy and devotions are expressly
forbidden. Families and individuals who are asymptomatic may make
visits to their parish church for private prayer as long as no more than
ten people are present in the church at the same time and social
distancing (at least six feet in between persons) is observed. Pastors
and their equivalents are responsible for ensuring that no more than
ten persons are present in the church whenever it is open to the
public. Families and individuals are encouraged to pray at home,
especially the Liturgy of the Hours, the Scriptures, the Rosary, the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and to participate spiritually in sacred
celebrations live-streamed from the Holy See, our Cathedral, and
their local parish church.”
