How did you attract / address your audience ?

The use of the photography on the front cover image was very direct , showing‘L Cookie 'looking

directly down the lens o the camera , this could be seen to Show that he is a fearless character an

faces problems face on and will not shy Away from issues. This would persuade my audience t o

buy the magazine because they would want to know the real ‘L Cookie’ and not assume he is as

fearless as his façade depicts him to be.

The cover lines would persuade my audience to buy my magazine , because firstly they stand out from

the magazine page , also because they say what that article is and also give a little description into

what the article is about but not to much but enough for my audience still to be interested and

would then buy the magazine.

The language used on these pages was standard English, with almost no colloquial language being use

except from the interview on the double page spread. Although the language used on my magazine pages

was of an articulate type and sometimes the language use would consist of technical terms the tone

maintained an informative and welcoming voice to appeal to the audience.

The font sizes also played a key role in attracting my audience , the reason for this is because different cover

lines where different sizes , this was shown on the front page , which could possibly be seen to shown the

importance of that cover line on that issue of the magazine.

The jewellery that ‘L Cookie’ was wearing were two Jesus pieces , this would help to attract my audience

because these pieces of jewellery are and were commonly wore by Hip-Hop icons and legends which could

foreshadow that ‘L Cookie 'will become a legend and this would attract my audience to want to know more

about him and read the magazine.

‘L Cookie is also wearing a black and gold G-Shock watch , and a ralph Lauren polo shirt

which would attract my audience because it is a very casual look and it does not present

him as someone who thinks he is better than his audience but is just an average guy trying

to get rich from rapping which will appeal to my audience because he is just like them. His

hairstyle is also a very low fade to make him appear more professional and presentable.

The age of ‘L Cookie is 16 , and it is very common that the age of the person on my

magazine is around the same age of my magazine target audience , which would attract

my audience because they would be able to place themselves in the position of ‘L Cookie’

so what he says would p appeal to themselves.

40% of magazine purchases are also determined by the content on the front page , so I

made sure that took a good picture for the front cover photo , that the cover lines where

laid out clearly and relevant to the Hip-Hop industry.
