    Hoja de CalculoEn este caso las expresiones que describen el comportamiento del cable son bastante mas complejas que enel cable simetrico.

    Existen dos alternativas de enfoque al problema presentado:- Suponer que la componente horizontal de la tensin en el extremo superior es la misma que la que proviene

    del tramo central. Con esta hiptesis se asume que la torre de sustentacin no soportr ninguna fuerza horizontal por concepto de cargas gravitacinales.

    - Suponer que la tensin en la parte superior del cable es la misma que la tensin en el tramo central del cable. Con esta hiptesis se asume que el cable est colocado sobre rodillos libres de rozamiento coloca-dos en las torres de sustentacin,y que las torres pueden resistir fuerzas horizontales de pequea magnitud.

    La situacin real se ubic en algn punto intermedio entre las dos hiptesis, por lo que, es conveniente que se diseen los puentes de modo que los resultados obtenidos con las dos hiptesis sean similares.

    Asumiendo como vlida la primera hiptesis para el problema propuesto, la componente horizontal de la tensin en la parte superior del cable es igual a la componente horizontal en el tramo central, por lo que, tomando la informacin anterior, se tiene: H = 497195.22 kg.
