(continued) THE BIG JUNGLE MIX UP (1D) Take a trip into the dense jungle and explore the many different animals, each with their own unique characteristics. Not all animals are like how you think they are, even the scariest ones might actually not be that scary at all. We follow 1 DILIGENCE as they demonstrate to us how the animals live and move about in the think forest. THE BUSY TREE (1E) Trees are a common sight along the roads and streets but is there something more than meets the eye? Trees are actually a habitat for many different creatures. Come and explore how these creatures benefit from the big strong trees, and how it is crucial for their survival. IF I WERE AN ALIEN (1G) Tired of their daily mundane tasks, a group of siblings wished that they were aliens instead, thinking that life in outer space is better. Little did they know that the alien children in outer space long to be like the children on Earth. OCEAN FRIENDS/ WHAT A SPLASH! (1C) The Earth is mostly made up of water, hence it is no surprise that the deep blue is filled with all sorts of magical marine creatures that we have yet to discover. Let’s take a dive into the ocean and be in awe of the many beautiful things it has to offer. LOOK, I SEE BIRDS/ ON YONDER HILL THERE STANDS A TREE (1H) Be amazed as 1H leads us into the life of vertebrates, from the moment they hatch to become some of the most majestic types of birds that we so often admire.

Drama education is most importantly about creative expression. Planning, rehearsing and performing plays may seem very structured; however, it is also a time that children get opportunities to express their imagination. The confidence, independence and clear speech that children gain from drama classes go beyond the stage. In fact, we believe they affect all areas of a child’s life. We are greatly pleased that Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School continues to acknowledge the value of drama education. We thank the school for their active support and tireless efforts, as well as the parents of our students for their unwavering dedication. Finally, this event belongs to our young stars, the P1 pupils, whose sense of wonder and imagination inspire today’s performances.

SYNOPSES

PIRATE DREAMS (1A) Watch the pupils transform into courageous pirates as they bring to you an exciting poetry and song performance about the life of a pirate. After a hard day’s work of hammering and hoisting sails, the pirates are ready to set out to sea in search of new treasure and adventure. WHO’S FOR DINNER (1F) Three hungry foxes are searching for their food in the countryside. They come across some farm animals who are happily enjoying the sunshine. Will the three city foxes get a chance to have their dinner or will the farm animals come up with a plan to fool those city foxes? GETTING AROUND (1B) Thousands of years ago, humans believed that the world was flat. As science and technology progressed, they realized that the world was round. And so, they invented many different forms of transportation to explore this big great world.
