To monitor and instigate continuous improvement activities and assist in internal and spot Audits. Detailed statement of duties 1. In consultation with the Quality Compliance Officer develop a process for monitoring and maintenance of VET standards within the organisation. 2. Facilitate engagement with Batchelor Institute VET Senior Lecturers and VET Lectures in the participation of continuous improvement activities. 3. Provide support in assisting Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in the implementation of changes to Standards, Qualification packaging rules and training Package updates as advised by ASQA. 4. Provide training to staff in relation to developing resources, when requested. 5. Contribute to Quality Induction and orientation for new VET staff concerning quality processes within the organisation.

Position overviewSupport and assist VET lecturers in areas of compliance of the Standards for RTO’s 2015 in the area of training and assessment strategies and assessment resources, validation and RPL applications from students and staff of Batchelor Institute. To monitor and instigate continuous improvement activities and assist in internal and spot Audits.

Detailed statement of duties1. In consultation with the Quality Compliance Officer develop a process for monitoring and maintenance of

VET standards within the organisation.

2. Facilitate engagement with Batchelor Institute VET Senior Lecturers and VET Lectures in the participation of continuous improvement activities.

3. Provide support in assisting Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in the implementation of changes to Standards, Qualification packaging rules and training Package updates as advised by ASQA.

4. Provide training to staff in relation to developing resources, when requested.

5. Contribute to Quality Induction and orientation for new VET staff concerning quality processes within the organisation.

6. Participate as an auditor with internal audits.

7. Participate in various VET Committees as required.

8. Share responsibilities with other VQA members on the management of the Share Point Quality Management site.

9. Create and maintain RPL administration systems as needed and support students through the RPL system and processes.

Essential selection criteria1. TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor.

2. A high level of knowledge on the National VET Quality Framework and its Standards and audit processes.

3. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills in both written, oral and the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.

4. High level computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer.

5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and sensitively within the social, political and cultural environments of an Indigenous organisation.

6. Possess a Current criminal history check or the ability to obtain one.

7. Possess a current NT OCHRE Card or the ability to obtain one.

8. Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.

Desirable selection criteria1. Diploma in Quality Auditing.
