COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PNMT AND THE RADIO NETWORK EQUIPMENT CAN BE :

VIA THE DSC TO A REMOTE PASOLINK EQUIPMENT

PNMT PORT IS LOCATED ON THE FRONT OF THE EQUIPMENT AND CONSISTS OF A RJ45 CONNECTOR. PNMT PORT CONNECT THE PM CTRL MODULE IN THE IDU VIA A SERIAL CABLE TO THE RELEVANT COMMUNICATION PORT OF THE PNMT COMPUTER.

THE RADIO SECTION IS AVAILABLE IN (1+1) SYSTEMS ONLY AND IS USED FOR SWITCHOVER FUNCTION

THE MUX AND DMR SECTION BER IS MEASURED IN TERMS OF SIGNAL DEGRADE (SD) AND EXCESSIVE BER (E_BER).

THE RADIO SECTION, ON THE OTHER HAND, MONITORS THE BER FOR SWITCHOVER PURPOSES. WHEN THE BER BECOMES WORSE THAN THE PRESET VALUE OF THE LOW BER, THE RX SIDE SWITCHES TO THE OTHER CHANNEL IN A 1+1 CONFIGURATION. THE PRESET VALUE MENTIONED ABOVE IS CALLED THE BER THRESHOLD.

SIX BER THRESHOLDS ARE AVAILABLE

HIGH BER: EXCESSIVE BER ALARM SETTING FOR THE RADIO SECTION SET BEFORE ANY SWITCH OVER IN (1+1) REDUNDANCY SWITCHING CONFIGURATION

LOW BER FOR RX SWITCH: THE BER LEVEL FOR DEGRADED SIGNAL IN THE RADIO SECTION. USED FOR RX SWITCH OVER IN (1+1) SYSTEM.

E-BER(DMR) EXCESSIVE BER LEVEL FOR RADIO SECTION. SET WORSE THAN THE SWITCHOVER LEVEL.

SD(DMR) SIGNAL DEGRADE BER LEVEL FOR RADIO SECTION.

E-BER(MUX) EXCESSIVE BER DETECT LEVEL FOR INPUT STM-1 SIGNAL FROM THE MUX.

RL01 TO RL03 ARE ASSIGNED TO MAINT, PS ALM AND CPU ALM AND CANNOT BE CHANGED.

RL08 TO RL11 CAN BE ASSIGNED TO THE FOUR HOUSE KEEPING CONTROL OUTPUTS. IF THE RELAYS ARE NOT ASSIGNED TO OUTPUT HOUSE KEEPING CONTROL, THEY CAN BE ASSIGNED TO OUTPUT EQUIPMENT ALARMS.

RL04 TO RL07 CAN BE ASSIGNED TO ABOUT 23 EQUIPMENT ALARMS.MORE THAN ONE ALARM CAN BE ASSIGNED TO A RELAY

IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONNECT THE PNMT PC TO THE PASOLINK CLUSTER BY LAN CONNECTION TO THE PNMS LAN PORT IN THE IDU OR THROUGH A ROUTER BY CONNECTING TO THE NMS SERIAL PORT OF THE CPM.

SET THE APPROPRIATE IP ADDRESS AND THE GATEWAY ADDRESS IN PNMT PC ACCORDING TO THE CPM OR ROOT NE IP ADDRESS AND GATEWAY ADDRESS SETTING.

OPEN THE ConnectList_samp.ini FILE IN THE PNMT FOLDER AND MODIFY THE DIALUP AND ETHERNET ENTRIES.
