Rwanda et l’Ouganda. Dans presque une similarité de conditions sociopolitico et économ-
iques, les Salésiens font de leur mieux pour apporter la joie de l’évangile à travers l’éducation.

PDO Director MessageT
he planning and Development Office of the AGL Vice province is glad to present its 2016 annual report. This is an occasion for us to acknowledge all the actions that has transformed lives of young people that we serve with the support from people
who share our goals and aspirations. Their generosity and willingness to contribute to the change of the society with the little they have continued to touch the lives of the less privileged. This has enabled us to give them wings to fly as cultured, educated, and skilled and value based citizens of the various countries we are working in.
In line with the two survey we made last years, we continue to look for better says on how we can improve the services we are rendering to the youth in our vice Province. We are glad that the VTC classrooms in Bombo have been completed, the Showroom in Rango and the single mother building have also been completed. The second phase of Namugongo Primary school has started and hoping to finish by 2017. We have as well initiated the intervention in Water and Waste Water management for Gatenga VTC and we intend to roll out training in this area by 2018. The workshop renovation works are ongoing. There have been several trainings for the staff under the ACP project where
both Nepo and Felecian have attended. The growing awareness of the DBTECH Africa and the promise it offers has continued to instill hope in our TVET intervention.
As we enter the year 2017, as PDO, we have a priority to reinforce the office by filling the position of the PDO coordi-nator and two project officers for Uganda and Rwanda. We believe that having the right quantity and quality of Human resource will help us to reach out to more deserving young people and offer them hope basing ourselves on the Salesians values and approaches.
I conclude by sincerely thanking all the Salesians commu-nities in the Vice Province for the support that you have rendered to us, to our development partners for the financial and technical support that you have given to us and the friends of Don Bosco for the moral and technical support we have received from you. May God bless you and continue giving you all that which is required to make your life worth living.
With a grateful heart.
