In Holzner delight is an all encompassing term that should permeate your vacation down to the smallest angle. It starts with the kitchen, led by our chef Bernhard Kostner. Since many years he combines alpine and Mediterranean style to the perfect blend. It distinguishes itself by the selection of the preferred local and organic produce from our

own herb and vegetable garden, from Ritten farms and the surrounding area. Allergy suff erers get one‘s money worth in the Holzner. Head waiter Nicola Spimpolo looks to it that the friendly service leaves nothing to be desired. Cleanliness and comfort of your room are looked after by our outstanding room cleaning team headed by our house-jewel Josefi ne Vigl.

Borrow one of our mountain bikes or hike on the Ritten and use the hundreds of miles of trails for all levels of diffi culty. Set out to go for traditional archery, horseback riding and ice skating in winter - all in the vicinity. And because your energy on holiday usually knows no limits, you play an hour of tennis on our clay courts, eventually with our coach. Swim a few lengths in the pool. Or you fi nd in our sauna area the right one for your taste.

Culture

Th e Holzner was made in 1908 in alpine Art Nouveau, much of the original inventory is still preserved. Infl uenced by culture and history, we at the Holzner advocate increasingly culture. We off er a comprehensive series of events to cultivate our own culture with storytelling evenings, the exhibition of historical photos and plans. Also outside the Holzner are many cultural activities: guides city tours in the near Bolzano (traditional and on historical art), tours and concerts in the Kommende (commandery) Lengmoos, the South Tyrol Jazz Festival and much more.

RittenCard

This year, we give you the RittenCard, which off ers a wide variety of opportuni-ties for you. You can use the RittenCard to use all public transport in South Tyrol for free, that includes of course the Ritten railway and cable car. The RittenCard allows you to visit 78 museums in South Tyrol free of charge, for example: the Ötzi Museum (the iceman), the Messner Mountain Museum and the Museion in Bolzano, the Living Bee Museum Ritten and the South Tyrol Museum of Wine in Kaltern. The RittenCard allows you further more: each day a free ride up and down with the Rittnerhorn cable car, free admission to one home game of the hockey team Rittensport in the Arena Ritten and countless other discounts in shops, stables and other facilities on the Ritten (Renon).

Th rough the connection between inside and outside, you can swim directly into the spacious outdoor infi nity pool and feel like you were swimming in the middle of a clear mountain lake in the Dolomites themselves!Th e pools are Open daily 7.30 to 7pm, a spa basket in your room supplies you with bath towels, bathrobes and slippers.

Culture - On the Ritten and in South Tyrol

Ritten

Since you will receive this year the RittenCard, you can take advantage of the excellent South Tyrolean public transport for free. So naturally the Ritten narrow gauge railway, which links the Ritten villages Himmelfahrt, Oberbozen, Lichtenstern and Klobenstein is included. But it is not just a transport, but also a historical rarity. Built in 1907, coinciding with the Parkhotel Holzner, the historic little trains are still chugging over the Ritten.Similarly, the RittenCard is valid for the Ritten Cable Car, which connects Oberbozen with the city of Bolzano in four-minute intervals and off ers our guests exceptional comfort, just leave the car at home and reach the Bolzano center in pleasant and stress-free 12 minutes.

We off er a Shuttle Service against a charge (based on the current taxi fees)

Arrivals and departures

On the day of arrival the rooms are ready at2 pm. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 7 pm. It is not possible to book a specifi c room number or fl oor. On the departure day, rooms must be vacated by 11 am.

Hints for packing one´s suitcase

Cancellation safeguard service

For € 5,- per person per day, we can off er you a safeguard service that guarantees the entire refund of your deposit in case of illness, accident or damage to property, even if only one of your party is aff ected. Th is service is also valid for late arrivals or early departures with a medical certifi cate or police confi rma-tion (pregnancy problems and professional reasons are not included in this service). By paying the deposit and the safeguard service charge, the service is automatically applied on receipt of the booking confi rmation.

Travelling by railway and bus

- Shuttle service to the train station in Bozen based on the current taxi fees.- Holiday shuttle bus Munich – Bozen each Saturday on request for € 47,- - Th e cable car station is c. 500 m from the main train station in Bozen. Th e cable car runs a cabin every 4 minutes from 7.10 h till 22.38 h duration 12 minutes.

By car

- From the north or the south on the A22 Highway “Brenner”- Exit the highway at Bozen Nord, then turn to the right in the direction of City Centre and Ritten. After about 1 km you will arrive at a crossroads. Follow the Ritten road signs until you are on the Rittner road that leads up the mountain. Keep on the main road until the road sign “Oberbozen” to the left.- On the Rittner road follow the orange arrows of the hotel route.
