President & Director

JK Agri Genetics Ltd

The vagaries of weather continuous to haunt Indian Agriculture. While the Monsoon 2016 turned out to be normal ending at 97 percent, the other side of the story has a different tale to tell. As far as the geographical distribution of last years' rains are concerned, they were erratic. Major agricultural belts remained rain deficient. In fact, several areas witnessed drought like conditions causing farmers to worry about the rains. Almost the entire Northwest India had observed deficient rainfall. Given the importance of the agriculture sector, the Government of India, in its Budget 2017–18, planned several steps for the sustainable development of agriculture.

We hope that Kharif, 2017 will be very positive so that the farmers are able to recoup some of their losses, though threat of El Nino still lingers in the backdrop, with everyday changing forecast by the Metrological & Climate societies. Its real impact is yet to be gauged.

We continue to consolidate our position in vegetable market. We are entering new categories like sweet corn, Marigold and hybrid root crops. Our new hybrids of tomato have found greater acceptance and we are hoping for rapid growth in coming years.

Last year we joined hands with Gujarat government to promote the concept of crop diversification in the tribal areas of the state.

We, at the crisp of new financial year starting, where we have made very ambitious plans and are very hopeful and confident that our plans get materialized.

I wish you all the best for better results in the ensuing Kharif, 2017 season.

Projector Meetings – Bajra

In the states of Rajasthan & Western UP night meetings with the help of projectors was conducted very effectively, where videos of farmer testimonials about a particular hybrid and the basic information of a product were shown. It was highly appreciated in conducting the productive meetings in cost effective way. These meetings are important as they serve the pupose of giving reminders to farmers regarding our products. . The video also includes clips & videos of bajra crop, which gives us an opportunity to showcase the performance of standing crop to the farmers. As the entire team performed very passionately in conducting productive and fruitful activities, this will help a lot in the coming kharif.

We plan to cover all the focus markets and villages which have seen our hybrid performance during the post season activities. The objective is to give recall to farmers which will yield better results at the time of sale.

Simultaneously, the crop tour and Post season activities are also going on in Mustard. Our hybrid mustard has shown impressive performance on field and farmers have recognized the same during field days.

The efforts made at the ground level by our team have also been acknowledged

by the press. Intensive work in the field has built immense credibility of JKAL

Corporate Social Responsibility :

Access to EducationPoor access to education continues to remain a critical challenge in Rural India. A glance at the education statistics of India clearly shows huge disparity in the number of students enrolling from secondary to senior secondary level. One major reason being the limited number of schools in the interior villages with senior secondary education , which usually results in high drop out rates. An effort was made in this direction to facilitate the journey of those students who are willing to continue their education further. Bicycles were distributed to the students entering in X class based on their performance in the class and essay competition conducted. The event was conducted at S.S.HIGH SCHOOL - Nawadih, Tamar, Jharkhand. The event was attended by school Principal, teachers ,Village Pradhan and proud parents of the students.

Eye Check Up Camp

Eye's are the window for our soul to connect to external beauty of world. To keep our eyes healthy and maintain your vision, the American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends a comprehensive eye exam every two years for adults ages 18 to 60, and annual exams for people age 61 and older. However, with family history of eye disease (glaucoma, macular degeneration, etc.), diabetes or high blood pressure, or have had an eye injury or surgery, one should have a comprehensive exam every year, unless otherwiseindicatedbydoctor. We had conducted Eye checkup camp in coordination with Local Hospitals for 1200 farmers in Bhatinda, Punjab and Sirsa and Dabwalli in Haryana. Apart from regular eye checkup doctors had also distributed free Eye drops and medicines to many of the farmers and also recommended few additional tests to few farmers with undetected eye complications. For farmers who needed immediate cataract surgery were moved to Sirsa, Haryana Hospital and Cataract surgery was performed for 8 farmers. The responses of the farmers was stupendous and overwhelming as many of them had never undergone eye checkup in spite of knowing its importance. The event was even covered in local newspapers. The farming community had requested us to conduct these camps on regular basis across the state for farming communities prosperity
