A premier Academy of the nation – NISA is always filled with varied training, sports and cultural activities which enhances the spectacular training atmosphere of the Academy, the second half of 2017 - year of training was no exception. It witnessed a plethora of activities in various spheres, making the environment of the NISA more vibrant. The academy strives to all round development of trainees making them academically excellent, socially committed and individually systematized as a responsible Officers and leaders of the Force.
NISA is constantly reviewing the effectiveness of the training to make the curriculum more relevant as per the current security scenario and the future need of the organization. The Academy has been employing trainee centric Teaching – Learning and Evaluation methodologies which ensure powerful and effective learning.
The tenure witnessed visits of various dignitaries and numerous events besides regular training activities.
Our honorable Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh attended passing out parade of 31st batch AC/DA, 43rd batch SI/UT and 8th batch ASI/UT of RTC Arakkonam which was great source of motivation and inspiration for all.
Among the other significant achievements, NISA signed MoU with NALSAR University to award Advanced Post Graduate Diploma and the Post Graduate Diploma to the successful Asst. Comdt. and Sub Inspector trainees respectively.
NISA family showed immense commitment for environment protection. With the logo ‘Clean & Green NISA’ we not only organized ‘SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN’ on regular basis, but motivated our neighbours as well. During the period the academy also witnessed plethora of colorful Sanrakshika activities which saw enthusiastic participation of family members and children.

Shri Rajnath Singh, Honorable Home Minister of India, visited RTC Arakkonam on 08.10.2017 and 09.10.2017 in connection with the Combined Passing Out Parade of 31st batch AC/Probationers, 43rd batch Sub-Inspectors/Exe and 8th batch Asstt Sub Inspectors/Exe, in which 25 (24 male and 01 female) AC Probationers, 292 Sub Inspectors/Exe (251 male and 41 female) and 708 Asstt. Sub Inspectors/Exe (630 male and 78 female) to be held at Ceremonial Ground of RTC Arakkonam on 09.10.2017. The Combined passing out parade was historic in many ways. For the first time these three batches of CISF Officers and Sub Officers were Passing out together on the same ground. For the first time CISF Gazetted Officers and SI/Exe/Trainees were passing out from RTC Arakkonam and for the first time Honorable Home Minister has stepped in RTC Arakkonam to review a Passing Out Parade.
A gathering of around four thousand people witnessed the parade which included MP, MLA, Senior Officials from CISF, NDRF, INS Rajali, Local Police, CPWD, Local Administrations, Prestigious Medal recipients, Faculty and Staff of RTC(A), Trainees and their relatives/guests.

71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT NISA
On the day of “71st Independence Day,” the staff and trainees celebrated this national festival with great enthusiasm and respect.
Shri Jagbir Singh, Director NISA & IG/TS was the chief guest for the momentous occasion. He unfurled the national flag and reviewed
the parade. In his address, he mentioned the significance of the historic day and remembered the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs for
the sake of freedom. He also said that the freedom is very precious and it is very important to preserve it. The festive occasion was
witnessed by a large crowd of staff, trainees and family members at the NISA ceremonial ground. He also added that the Independence
Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life and this day reminds every person every year that the freedom gained is sacred and
citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered
