FINANCIAL UPDATE

Although the church is slightly under budget for the year, we have been able to do the following things because of your

generosity and support:

The lights stay on for children from within the church and the community at large on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school

that they might know a place where they can simply ‘be’ and beloved… a place where they come to know the love of Jesus

Christ and a safe space to share their challenges.

You’ve kept the youth well fed and involved with those inside the church and those beyond in small but powerful acts of love.

You’ve afforded them lessons in faith through trips to Tree Runner Park high ropes course where they must trust that they

are attached to something far greater than themselves.

The youth raised money for mission trips and developed leadership skills both there and in the worship during Ash

Wednesday, Christmas Eve, and youth Sundays. Ten youth experienced confirmation through exploring and serving

different faith traditions, serving Cass Community and retreats. You have enabled both middle school and high school youth to

journey to Detroit and Kansas City to serve and worship together with those from around the country.

This year of 13 graduating seniors, 9 were celebrated in Grams Hall on Sunday, June 2. Following a breakfast, videos were

shown celebrating the ways in which each senior witnesses the character of Jesus Christ both here and in their everyday lives.

Thank you for coming alongside, for loving them, for praying that they might know their deepest identity in Jesus Christ.

Your witness is undeniable.

Everyone is Welcome - Anyone may attend

AA Open Meetings

These consist of talks by speakers who share personal stories of recovery as it relates to their alcoholism and their recovery in AA. Meetings are held for the specific purpose of informing the

nonalcoholic public about AA. Anyone may attend open AA meetings, but closed AA meetings are for people who have a

desire to stop drinking or using. We meet every Sunday at 7 p.m. in the main dining room of

Chelsea St. Joe’s Mercy Hospital.

Americans are dying due to drug abuse more frequently than ever before, in part because only 1 in 10 people with substance

abuse problems receives the help they need. If you or someone you love is battling with substance abuse you can take some action by developing an understanding of

their disease. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Rod Craig at 734-355-6458.

I am opening all five Sundays in June and I have fine 5 great speakers lined up.

CALENDAR

In nine graduating seniors, the witness of Jesus Christ in passages of the Bible brought to new light through their very lives. Each was given a spoon engraved with a word they had

chosen and it was accompanied by Psalm 34:8 on a tag: Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed are

those who take refuge in Him. I share this as a witness to God’s goodness and love for them. You see, 9:30’s sermon spoke to faith and Ron Mourad based it upon Psalm 34. The song that followed the sermon – ‘Taste and See’. I was only

aware of the celebration in Grams Hall and having been at An-nual Conference, had no knowledge of the sermon title or

song. But our Gracious and Loving God did.

Thank you to each and every one of you for celebrating the beloved with your servant’s hearts: Susan Wellman, Dayle Wright, Charles and Sandy Schmunk, Sharleen Eisenbeiser,

Theresa Plank, Heidi Doyle, Reiley Curran, Debbie Noye, Ellie Davis, Rachel Krugh, Nancy Alguire, Gail Finch, Marjorie Switz, Allison Vanderspool, Debra Drow, Barbara Brown, Misty Noble,

Sherri Plank, and Eileen Blough.

Thank you for filling videos with words of affirmation and en-couragement: Greta, Avery, Nicholas, Matheus, Felipe, Indy, Alex, Hannah, Ari, Camryn, Luke, Max Plank, Julie Hermann, Suzie Weber, Tom Lewis, Rosemary Jones, and Team Krugh. Thank you to the teachers and vocal instructors at Chelsea

High School who shared a most personal witness of their love: Matt Pedlow, Holly Reiser, John Zainea, Lisa Hinz-Johnson.

‘Keep the joy of being loved by Jesus ever burning in your

heart as your strength, and share it with others by your thoughtful love and humble service.’

~Mother Theresa And you did.

They are some of our most joy filled playful hearts willing to share the good news with passersby.

These lovelies also reminded me that next Tuesday is a FULL

day of school therefore the doors to OUTLET will be wide open on the last Tuesday of the year JUNE 11.
