Kids Workshops coincide with K-12 calendar reduction days and/or fall and winter breaks. Children in 6-9 and 10-16 age groups will be taught dining etiquette, kitchen safety, and sanitation while they learn to prepare simple, healthy, delicious meals. Sessions will also introduce participants to sewing techniques and have them use their new skills to make a small craft, such as a potholder (strawberry or football) or alphabet pillow (for the older children). Not only are the courses fun, but they are also educational, providing valuable life skills that promote independence.
