EKG TechnicianThis program prepares you to function as an EKG Technician and to take the ASPT –Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam. Personal Trainer CertificationTake on a career that you can be proud of while earning a great living as a certified personal trainer.This course is taught over a 5-week period, with the National Exam held on the 6th week. Each weekconsists of 3 hours of in-class learning followed by 3 hours of hands-on training. Proof of CPR and a30-hour internship (upon successful completion of the course) will prepare you to work successfully inthe fitness field. Textbook required (not included in course fees).

PhlebotomyPhlebotomy I provides 85 hours of in-class lecture and hands-on student laboratory. Topics ofdiscussion include universal precautions and safety, special collection procedures, handling andprocessing of specimens, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and communication skills.You will learn manual skills to perform venipuncture and skin puncture techniques and the didactictraining to assure quality specimens. A certificate of completion is awarded to students maintaininga minimum of 75% in each area measured. Class size is limited to 12 students. The course textbookmust be purchased prior to the first class.

Phlebotomy II encompasses 100 clinical hours at a local hospital. Clinical hours may encompassvaried shifts: Monday-Sunday. You must successfully complete Phlebotomy I and Phlebotomy II toqualify for the national certification exam application. Hospitals require the following, which is notcovered in the cost: scrubs, malpractice insurance, PA criminal background check, FBI backgroundcheck, child abuse clearance, urine drug screen, CPR certification, Hepatitis B vaccination, andcertain immunizations and health tests. Physical Therapy AideThe purpose of physical therapy is to restore loco-motor function to the human body throughalleviating and correcting movement dysfunction. PAYMENT PLANPennsylvania Highlands is pleased to offer a Payment Plan as an option to assist students and theirfamilies in reaching their educational goals.

The Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Payment Plan is the interest-free, debt-free way tospread tuition payments over a number of months. The Payment Plan is not a loan, so there are nointerest payments, just a low enrollment fee. The Payment Plan allows you to break down youreducation expenses into easy-to-manage installments rather than one lump-sum payment. It’s simpleand convenient.

A down payment is due at registration, along with the $25 enrollment fee.

Early enrollment is strongly encouraged to take full advantage of our Payment Plan. The length anddue dates of each plan varies depending on the program you enroll in.

The following Career Training programs are eligible for the Payment Plan:

Course registrations for Continuing Education classes are accepted on an ongoing basis, but mustbe received prior to course start dates.

Confirmation of course registration, including room location(s), will be mailed upon receipt of acompleted registration form and payment.

You will not be enrolled in a course until a completed registration form and payment are received.

Acceptable methods of payment include:

• Cash• Check• Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard)• Money Order

A fee of $25 will be assessed for any check refused for insufficient funds.
