How to install the OpenVPN client on DD-WRT router firmware WARNING: Our install script will overwrite the custom and startup scripts on the router. In order to start the installation open your DD-WRT web management Control Panel. Make sure that you have the router installed with the correct DD-WRT version firmware - vpn. You can check that at the right top corner, it has to say 'vpn'.

1. Open https://www.vpnreactor.com/ddwrt/ddwrt_openvpn_vpnreactor_install.txt and copy all the lines from the text file. 2. Go to “Administration” and then “Commands”

3. Paste the copied text in “Commands Shell” “Commands” text-box and scroll the text all the way to the top.

4. Now you have to insert your VPNReactor username replacing your_username, VPNReactor password replacing your_password, VPNReactor server replacing chicago.vpnreactor.com and OpenVPN port replacing 1194. Do changes only the values from '### Edit from here' to '### Edit to

here' and make sure you insert the correct username and password. For VPNReactor server choose one of the servers from VPNReactor website. You have to keep the single quote ( ' ) before and after your data. The port number can be different: 1194 – If you want to use OpenVPN standart port. 110 or 443 – If you want to use Stealth VPN. 5. After you insert all the data, press “Save Custom Script”

6. Go back to “Commands Shell” on the top of the page and write in the “Commands Shell”

“Commands” text-box 'sh /tmp/custom.sh' 7. Go to the bottom of the page and press “Run Commands”

8. You have to see under the “Command shell” information like the following one:

9.Go to “Administration” – “Management”

10. At the bottom of the page press “Reboot Router”

11. OpenVPN client setup is ready. You can check your IP address opening https://www.vpnreactor.com/. You will see at the left top corner “Your IP address is secure”.

LIMTATIONS 1.You cannot connect or disconnect OpenVPN client directly from the web interface. 2.There is no manual process to restart OpenVPN client from the web interface if for any reason you become disconnected. 3.All port forwarding configuration on the router will be inactive while using OpenVPN client. 4.If you want to change your 'username','password','server' or 'port' you have to go through all the steps again, uninstalling and installing the OpenVPN client again. 4.Go to end of the page and click on “Save Custom Script”

5. Go back to “Commands Shell” on the top of the page and write in the “Commands Shell” “Commands” text-box 'sh /tmp/custom.sh'

6. Go to the bottom of the page and press “Run Commands”

7. After you press the “Run Commands” you have to see under the “Commands box” information like the following:

8.Go to “Administration”, ”Management”

9.Go to the bottom of the page and press “Reboot Router”

10.You have successfully uninstalled the OpenVPN client.
