FESTIVAL OF EUROPEOn 28 May 2016, the European institutions open their doors to the public to celebrate Europe Day. Amongst them, the European Economic and Social Committee, which represents the various economic, social and civil components of organised civil society (employers, workers and various interests) and the European Committee of the Regions, the European Union’s Assembly of regional and local representatives, welcome you to rue Belliard 99/101, 1040 Brussels.

EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE (EESC)

➔ Find out about the work the EESC does for the European Union on economic and social policy and sustainable development and the ways in which it supports participatory democracy in Europe and throughout the world.

➔ See what civil society organisations are doing to address Europe’s migration crisis and give your opinion.

➔ Share your points of view on economic growth, employment, the environment and global development.

➔ Check out the EESC’s educational and interactive programme – with information stands, activities to interest everyone, music, etc.

➔ Test your knowledge of the EESC, the European Union or the migration crisis, and maybe win a prize.

➔ Face painting, a balloon-twisting clown, souvenir photos – there’s something for every age group.

DISCOVER THE REGIONS AND CITIES OF EUROPE

EUROPEAN COMMITTEE OF THE REGIONS (COR)

➔ Visit the European Union’s Assembly of regional and local representatives and learn about its role and activities (ground floor: stands of the political groups; 5th floor: presentation of the Committee).

➔ Experience Europe’s diversity: visit the interactive stands of partner regions and cities and taste a variety of local products.

➔ Enjoy the surprises prepared by the entertainers.

➔ Get dressed for a voyage through space and time with the Magic Land costumes and have your picture taken as a souvenir of your visit to the European Committee of the Regions.

FEEST VAN EUROPAOp 28 mei 2016 openen de Europese instellingen hun deuren voor het publiek ter gelegenheid van de Dag van Europa. Twee van hen, het Europees Economisch en Sociaal Comité, dat de verschillende economische en sociale actoren van het maatschappelijk middenveld vertegenwoordigt (werkgevers, werknemers en diverse werkzaamheden), en het Europees Comité van de Regio’s, dat de regionale en lokale gekozen vertegenwoordigers uit alle lidstaten van de Europese Unie (EU) bijeenbrengt, ontvangen u in de Belliardstraat 99/101, 1040 Brussel.

EUROPEES ECONOMISCH EN SOCIAAL COMITÉ (EESC)

➔ Ontdek de werkzaamheden van het EESC op het gebied van economisch en sociaal beleid en duurzame ontwikkeling, en zijn inspanningen ter ondersteuning van de participatiedemocratie in Europa en in de rest van de wereld.

➔ Ontdek de rol van de organisaties van het maatschappelijk middenveld in Europa en geef uw mening!

➔ Bezoek de EU-assemblee van regionale en lokale afgevaardigden en ontdek haar rol en activiteiten (begane grond: infostands van de politieke fracties; 5e verdieping: presentatie van het Comité).

➔ Beleef de Europese verscheidenheid: bezoek de interactieve infostands van onze partnersteden en -regio’s en proef een keur aan lokale producten.

➔ Laat u verrassen door onze animatoren.

➔ Onderneem een reis door de ruimte en tijd met de kostuums van Magic Land en laat u fotograferen als aandenken aan uw bezoek aan het Europees Comité van de Regio’s.
