Empty Water Bottles Needed

The 4th grade is involved in an MCPS “Think Big Café” project with four other schools in the county. The project connects the 4th grade curriculum, art, & music; it involves lots of collaboration between the four participating schools. We will be building a sculpture as one of our culminating activities, and we are in need of lots of Dasani water bottles to build the sculpture we have in mind.

Specifically we need:

DaSani water bottles with lid

16.9 oz. OR 20 oz.

It has a swirl pattern around bottle above the label

The ‘bottom’ of bottle has 5 raised points (like flower petals)

PLEASE remove label and let dry out if possible

There will be 3 collection boxes locations: OES Entrance Foyer, 1st & 2nd hallway, and 4th & 5th hallway

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Henderson or one of the 4th Grade teachers. Thank you!

Beginning in February, the PTA will begin transitioning all of its email communication from the Google Listserv to MySchoolAnywhere. You do not need to be a member of the PTA to register. We encourage all OES families to register so that they stay informed about what's happening at our school. If you have any questions, please email: [email protected] or [email protected].

Box Tops For Education CONTEST!!!

We are doing an awesome job collecting tops and

sending them into school! We set a school year goal of $1000; we have already reached it for the first half of the year!

Please send in your box tops for our next contest, which will start on Monday, January 29 and end on Tuesday, February 20. We are excited to see which classes can collect the most box tops. There will be one classroom that wins per grade, so please send in as many box tops as you can during that time!!! The box tops should be sent in with your child to their classroom in either a ziplock bag or on a collection sheet (you can find them at www.BTFE.com). There is a collection bag in each classroom where the students can put the box tops. We can’t submit expired box tops, so if you have any of those, please just throw them out.

THE WINNING CLASSES WILL GET A REWARD

If you haven’t sent in box tops in the past, please see the image below. Please make sure the box top’s expiration date is current, as well as including everything you see in the sample below.
