W e are so excited to kick off another fantastic school year. I want to thank those of you that came to meet the teacher. It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces! The Curtis PTA has planned many exciting events for the upcoming year. Mark your calendars for these upcoming important dates and deadlines. • Sept 9: Welcome Back Tea in the library at 2:00. Get to know the PTA board members and find out how you can get involved. • Sept 9: Goals night. Visit with your child’s teacher and find out what they are expecting from your child for the year. • Sept 25: Texas PTA will hold a program in the library at 2 about bullying entitled “Don’t stand by, stand up”. This program will last about an hour, and will be for parents only. Learn how to empower your children! • Sept 30: Brick sales cutoff. If you were planning to purchase a commemorative brick for the flagpole area, you will need to turn in your order form by this date. • Oct 25: Garden Cleanup and Kickball/Washers Tournament • Nov 3-7: Book Fair • Nov 18-20: Holiday Pictures This six weeks will end September 26th. I am looking forward to visit- ing with you at our PTA programs and fund raisers. Sallie Curtis truly is making the world a better place!
