Worship and Praise Service

August 31, 2014

Welcome to worship at First Christian Church! Each week we offer two different worship

services: 8:15 am service features traditional worship and 11:00 am service features modern

worship.

Danny Bundy will be sharing our communion

and offering devotions.

When communion is served, we invite all Christ Followers to participate, partaking of the bread

as it is passed and retaining the cup until we can all partake together.

Kent Hickerson will be preaching from

John 3:30. His message is entitled “He Must Become Greater; I Must Become

Less” based on John 3:30.

STUDY

Praying for our church: Our church will begin an all church study of

The Story on September 7th. Please pray for our staff as they

prepare for this study, whether they are teaching, organizing small groups,

answering many questions or reaching out to those who are interested but

aren’t sure if this is what they want. Ask that the ministers & staff will have

boldness when proclaiming the Word of God. Pray for strength & wisdom

as small groups begin, that all will feel welcome & also excited as they

participate. Ask God to prepare the hearts of those who hear The Story,

that many lives will be claimed for the Kingdom, that more families will

follow after Jesus, that not only our congregation but our community will

be impacted by this study of The Story. Pray that our church will grow and

will be more unified through this study. Pray that more people will read the

Bible and truly understand what it means - to us as believers in Jesus

Christ and that we will be willing to show others the love of Jesus, for us to

become the hands & feet of Jesus. Pray that this study will spark a

growing interest in God’s Kingdom, that Clinton Illinois would have a

revival as people come to know Jesus & how much He loves them.
