Learn how to create original greeting cards, T-shirt designs, and other art projects in Photoshop, a leading software program used in advertising, publishing, and other information industries. You will learn how to adjust the color and shape of images, add specific phrases and logos, and how to use other features and functions of Photoshop. Microsoft Access is a very powerful database application designed to save you time and make creating relational databases easier. This workshop will include topics such as description and uses of spreadsheet software; key definitions; navigating spreadsheets; and entering text and data. Students will create income and expense spreadsheets, utilizing different formats. They will also create formulas containing relative and absolute references. Learn how to transform spreadsheets into charts, and how to print spreadsheets. Some homework will be assigned. Please bring a flash

Noguchi Museum Sun., 10/16, 12 Noon, Lucie This unusual museum and workshop of Isamu Noguchi in Long Island City, Queens, can be reached by a special shuttle bus. The garden at the museum is now open. Meet: At the bus in front of the Asia Society, Park Avenue and 70th Street (north-east corner). Cost: $5 per trip, leaving at 12:15 PM for a half hour ride. Return about 4:30 PM. Museum admission with International Center membership card is a special price of $5 (usual price is $10) and includes a guided museum tour. Wear comfortable shoes. Trip leaves rain or shine. Students in this course will work on improving their use

of English language structures, increasing their

vocabulary, and becoming more comfortable using the

idioms and colloquialisms that are common to everyday

conversation. Working in small groups and with

partners, and through discussions, role playing,

presentations, and writing exercises, students will

enhance their accuracy and fluency in spoken and

written English, and their confidence in using English in

social and professional settings. Regular attendance

and active class participation are essential.
