POLLINGTON 2014-2015 Weekly Learning Targets: Math I can count to 100 by 1s and 10s. I can tell you two numbers that make 5. (preferable with fingers: 3 on one hand and 2 on the other, etc) I can tell you an example of a cone, sphere, and cylinder. I can tell you how many faces are on a cone, sphere, and cylinder and what shapes the faces are. I can follow directions. Reading/Handwriting I can write and read letter words. I can tell you the 5 vowels. I can read and write the words I and is. I can read all of the poems in poem book. I can draw a picture of the stages of a pumpkin. (seed, sprout, pumpkin plant, pumpkin flower, pumpkin, jack o lantern.) I can retell Pumpkin, Pumpkin in the correct order. I can tell you my opinion of the story using evidence from the book. Homework bags go out today. They will go home each Monday and need to bereturned that Thursday. If children do not bring their book bags back onThursday morning they will not get a book bag the following week. If a childdoes not get a book bag he/she will still need to complete homework and readeach night, however, they will not get the fun book bag to take home.Lost Book Bag Books:$10.00 for each lost Dr. Seuss book

$5.00 for all other lost booksLost Book Bag:$50.00

Field Trip on FridayPlease dress your child in clothing appropriate for the weather. Dress code forthe day is jeans and a St. George shirt. Children can wear rain boots for thefield trip. Kids will eat lunch at school. Please send snack in something that canbe thrown out. Also, write your child’s name on his/her snack.

What’s happening at Saint George?School Wide Special Events & Important Information

Students can bring $.50 every Thursday to order popcorn. They will get the popcorn afterschool.

Mass on FridayPlease remember to bring a non perishablefood item or toiletries to donateto St. Vincent de Paul.

Parent Teacher Conference schedules will beready by Friday. If you cannot come in atyour scheduled time please let me know.
