White won five gold medals and added a silver as OAK finished with 1542.5 points in the men’s division, beating the Etobicoke Swim Club by 71 points. Tomic paced a decisive victory by OAK in the women’s division. She won three gold medals and three bronze medals to add to OAK’s tally of 1897.5 points. Etobicoke was the nearest rival, almost 400 points behind. Overall, OAK fin- ished with 3,440 points, the only club to top the 3,000-point mark. Maggie Copeland won three gold medals and Bryce Kwiecien-Delaney and Luka Tomic each won a pair. Kwiecien-Delaney also added a silver and a bronze while Tomic also had a silver. Annie Harrison, Sarah Cauvel and Matthew Mac each brought home five med- als from the provincial meet. Harrison and Cauvel each had one gold, two silver and two bronze medals while Mac had three silvers and a pair of bronze medals. Other gold medalists were: Ali Baki (one gold, one silver, one bronze); Annika Grewal (one gold, one silver); Collyn Gagne (one gold, two bronze); Marni Oldershaw (one gold, one bronze). Also winning medals were: Gamal Assaad, Aktssa Forbes (one silver, one bronze); Kristen Olvet, Emily Ramier, Oliva Strevett, Connor Wilkins (one silver); David Whiteside (two bronze); Olivia Sinclair, Hannah Burgess, Sharalynn Missiuna, Anaka Will- Dryden (one bronze). OAK also had nine gold medal-winning relays, including the women’s 15-17 200m freestyle team made up by Missiuna, Harrison, Mika Spencer and Rebecca Gibson, which established a new club record. Grewal, Ramier, Abbey Saunders and Anaka Will-Dryden teamed up to win both the women’s 13-14 200m and 400m medley relays. Grewal and Will-Dryden were also on the winning 200m and 400m freestyle relay teams, along with Alexandra Fabugais-Inaba. Bryanna Samuels rounded out the 200m team while Julia Matuszczak completed the 400m relay. Harrison, Oldershaw, Missiuna and Bridget Jordan won gold with the women’s 15-17 400m medley relay. Luka Tomic, Marcelo Gamio and Ali Baki were on both the men’s 200m and 400m freestyle gold-medal relays. The A’s opened the tournament with a 15-1 victory over the Cardinals. After suffer- ing their only loss of the tournament, 8-2 against Guelph, the A’s bounced back to win their next three games. After beating Brampton 23-4, the A’s downed Kitchener 15-1 and then defeated North York 14-4 in the semifinals. The A’s Jacob Pokocky was named the tournament MVP. With the tournament victory, the A’s improved their overall record to 27-11-2. Other members of the A’s team are Christian Bachoumis, Dasan Brown, Griffin Conroy, David Dillman, Cooper Elliott, Daniel Freeman, Thomas Harbour, Ethan Paulos, Robbie Strachan and Matt Tani. The coaching staff is made up of head coach Paul Harbour and assistants George Bachoumis, Chris Conroy, Kevin Freeman, Al Strachan and Ryan Vopni.
