CUNNEYWORTH, William (Bill)- I t is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of William (Bill) Cunneyworth on Sunday Jannuary 6, 2008 at the age of 60. He will be forever missed by his wife Mary and his ex-wife Shirley. Bill was the devoted and loving father of Joan, Jason (Roxanne) and Joshua. Proud Grandfather of Ryan, Trisha, Amanda, Taylor and Griffin. Dear brother of Sharon and Darlene (Bernie) of Rexdale. Bill was a part of the Metroland family for many years, and he will be sadly missed by his friends of Metroland and his many friends that he had made on his journey through life. Bill was a long time resident of Oakville and it was here that he finally found a place to call home. The fam i l y w ishes to thank Catherine and all of the other nurses in the Intensive Care unit at OTMH for their care and support through this diff icult time. Cremation has already occurred and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
OWER, William "Bill" Norman P.Eng- It is with great sadness that the family of Bill announce his peaceful passing in Oak-ville on Sunday, January 6, 2008. Bill was the beloved husband of Janet (deceased), loving father of Philip; and of Cameron and his wife Margaret. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Alison, Emily and Jennifer and by his sisters Jackie and Betty (Jacob). Bill served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years and then went on to a second career for 20 years at Spar Aerospace during the develop-ment of the Canadarm and Canadarm 2. Family will receive visitors in the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St . , Oakville on Wednesday From 6-8 p.m. Cremation to follow. LAWRIE, Keith - It is with great sadness that we announce Keith's passing, at home, on Friday January 4, 2008, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Keith left us at the age of 53, peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife of 32 years, J u d y ( n e e N e w m a n ) , s o n To d d a n d daughter-in-law Vicky. He also is survived by his parents, Jack and Doreen Lawrie, his brother, Kirk (Marg), sisters Penny and Pam (Dean) . He wi l l be greatly missed by his in-laws Gloria New-man, Dollie (Jim), Arthur, Betty (Syd), Alison (Joe), Darrell (Sharon), Debbie (R ick) & Tom (Rose) . He was much loved by 27 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and great nephews and 2 great-great nephews. He will be missed by fr iends and his co-workers of PPG Canada. Keith dealt with his illness with a sense of humour and courage which was admired by many. The family would l i ke to acknowledge & thank fami ly, friends and co-workers for their gene-rosity, kindness and outpouring of love and support provided over the past 3 months. The compassion and professionalism shown by the doctors, nurses and staff at Credit Valley Hospital is also appreciated by Keith and his family. We would like to especially thank Dr. Sauls, oncology centre, CVH and Cathy Kiteley, clinical nurse specialist, supportive care, oncology centre, CVH. Without your thoughtfulness and attention these challenging times would have been much more difficult to handle. We would also like to mention Community Care Access Centres (CCAC) for your caring & co-operation. As well, the nurses of St. Elizabeth Home Health Care were kind and attentive beyond words. Cremation will take place prior to the visitation, which wi l l be at the Glen Oaks Memoria l Chapel, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (corner of 9th Line and Dundas St.), on Friday Jan. 11, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan 12, 2008, 11:00 am at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel with internment & reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or CCAC would be appreciated
MacLEAN, Mary (Furniss)- On Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in her 90th year, Marie passed away peacefully in her sleep. Devo ted and ca r ing w i fe o f the la te James A. MacLean, OBE (2002), beloved mother of Alison (Ken McKenzie) and Ian (Joanne). Cherished Granny to Jamie McKenzie (Jen), Michelle (Andrew Jarvis), Christopher McKenzie, Andrea MacLean (Jamie Pistilli), Erin and Hilary. Adoring Great Granny to Benjamin and Caitlin Jarvis, Isabella Pistilli and Spencer McKenzie. "Marie bravely endured Alzheimer's disease for her last five years and now is peacefully with Jim on their cont inuing journeys together." Many thanks to Dr. Gail Macpherson and the care givers at Sunrise of Oakville. Amemorial service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ward Funeral Home "Oakville Chapel" (109 Reynolds Street, Oakville).
