DescriptionThe Foam Concentrate Jockey pump is used in In-LineBalanced Pressure (ILBP) Proportioning Systems to main-tain pressure on the foam concentrate discharge line thatsupply remotely mounted ILBP modules. The pump isdesigned to maintain the foam concentrate pressure withinpreset limits and at the same time maintain foam concen-trate volume in the supply piping. The jockey pump pro-vides compliance with NFPA to insure the integrity of thefoam concentrate piping with regard to piping installed un-derground or piping above ground exceeding 50 feet.

between the main foam concentrate pump and theproportioning device.

Specifications

Jockey pump shall be a positive displacement, spur geartype, foam concentrate pump with capacity for 2 GPM (foamconcentrate) @ 200 PSI. Head, casing & separation platesshall be fabricated from cast iron or equal with precisionground heat treated spur gears and case hardened steelshafts with Viton lip seals. Viton O-rings shall be providedbetween all pump sections to insure positive sealing. Thesuction and return connections shall be FNPT. Pumpshall be supplied complete with either a ODP or TEFCmotor, direct coupled with a C flange bracket and flex-ible coupling. Motor shall be 1 HP, 3/60/208-230-460V,1725 RPM, 143TC frame, rated at 40 C. ambient with a1.15 service factor. A separate, X cast bronze reliefvalve shall be supplied with pump. It shall have lappedseats for optimum performance, and ball bearing pivot be-tween disc & spring to correct for mis-alignment and com-

pensate for spring side thrust. Valve shall be specificallydesigned for use in liquid service and shall be set to re-lieve at 225 PSI. Pump motor shall be sized with sufficienthorsepower to allow operation with relief valve full open

without overloading the motor.
