Newsletter of the United Church of Primghar November, 2015 Volume 11 November is really the month where we start to really count our blessings. Harvest is ending, we have gotten used to the school routine, the weather is cool, we are see- ing the fruit of the seeds we have planted, and we take the time to really be thankful for all that we have. We are finishing Lord’s Acre, cele- brate Lord’s Harvest, and enjoy our families at Thanksgiving. And we prepare for the winter to come. The parsonage has been transformed. There is a new waterline, a new water soften- er, new doors, a new refrigerator, a new stove, and the place has been painted. It is amazing how the transformation has taken place, and we know that we are prepared for winter. It is easy to let maintenance slip, but amazing how things can come to- gether when it is really needed. This has been just one of my many blessings that I have witnessed since arriving in O’Brien County. But there is more to come. We have confirmation continuing, we have WWW go- ing strong, we have Advent quickly approaching, and it seems there is always one more meeting. God is great. God gives us some time to count our blessings, but God also wants us to be prepared for what is to come. Celebrate the fruits we gath- er, and as we give God’s share back to God, we know that God helps us plan so we are provided for in the years to come. ~Blessings, Pastor Kris WWW Christmas Program Sunday December 13th During Regular Worship Service. Newsletter of the United Church of Primghar November, 2015 Volume 11

November is really the month where we start to really

count our blessings. Harvest is ending, we have gotten

used to the school routine, the weather is cool, we are see-

ing the fruit of the seeds we have planted, and we take the

time to really be thankful for all that we have. We are finishing Lord’s Acre, cele-

brate Lord’s Harvest, and enjoy our families at Thanksgiving. And we prepare for

the winter to come.

The parsonage has been transformed. There is a new waterline, a new water soften-

er, new doors, a new refrigerator, a new stove, and the place has been painted. It is

amazing how the transformation has taken place, and we know that we are prepared

for winter. It is easy to let maintenance slip, but amazing how things can come to-

gether when it is really needed. This has been just one of my many blessings that I

have witnessed since arriving in O’Brien County.

But there is more to come. We have confirmation continuing, we have WWW go-

ing strong, we have Advent quickly approaching, and it seems there is always one

more meeting. God is great. God gives us some time to count our blessings, but

God also wants us to be prepared for what is to come. Celebrate the fruits we gath-

er, and as we give God’s share back to God, we know that God helps us plan so we

are provided for in the years to come.

~Blessings, Pastor Kris

If you are aware of someone in

need of a pastoral call, please

inform Pastor Kris on her cell

phone 712-344-2846 or leave a

message on the office phone,

957-4960. She would rather

hear from multiple sources than

from no one at all. In these

times of privacy rights, hospitals

and nursing homes may not di-

vulge information relating to a

resident or patient, so it is very

important that members and/or

their families let the Pastor

know of all needs for pastoral

care.
