Dear Chicago Area Pike Alumni,

We hope that you are doing well and staying safe in these unprecedented times. Even thoughwhat's going on with the colony at UChicago may be the last thing on your mind right now, wewant to share with you the things we're doing to stay connected, as well as highlight what weaccomplished during Winter 2020. I'm extremely proud of this group, and I cannot emphasizeenough how much work these men have put in over the past year and a half. Given verylimited resources and an unaffiliated Greek Life ecosystem that offered us no support, thesuccess we've had is really something unique. All 48 of us from the University of Chicago hopethat our efforts make each of you proud to be a Pike.

Attention All Pike Alumni!

First Alumni Meet & Greet over Zoom

Our Colony is eager to begin the process of building meaningful and lasting relationships with

both Chicago area, and University of Chicago Pike alumni. Our group recognizes that we are

not the first Pikes to make our way through the challenging expereince that is UChicago

Undergrad. We want to know more about the first iteration of Iota Xi at UChicago, hear about

all alumni's experiences as Pike brothers, and share with you the progress we've made so far.

An Eventful Winter Quarter

First Annual Elections

Our last event before many of the guystraveled home for Spring Quarter was ourelections of the new slate of officers forthe 20-21 school year. We are veryexcited for this driven and very capablegroup to take over in the fall!

Meet the Winter '20 NewMember Class

We were lucky enough to recruit 14amazing men to the brotherhood thisWinter Quarter. All have alreadycontributed substantially to the fraternityin their short time as members.

UChicago Attends PikeCEC in Memphis

The colony sent the President, two VP's,and its Recruitment Chair to the ChapterExecutive's Conference in Memphis,Tennessee in January. The boys learned alot which they were able to bring back toChicago, got to tour the internationalheadquarters, and had a great timeexploring Memphis nightlife.

Pike Competes inArrowfest PhilanthropyEvent

For Pi Beta Phi's annual "Arrowfest"philanthropy event, Pike fielded a team ofbrave dancers, who left it all on the stagein front of the UChicago Greek Lifecommunity.

Pike University comes toChicago

In early February, we sent sevenmembers to represent the Colony at theannual Pike University Regional Summit inChicago.

Annual Winter Retreat

The men of UChicago Pike had a greatweekend at our Winter Quarter retreat inElgin, IL this year. Our annual Springcamping trip was unfortunately cancelledbut we are looking forward to doing one inthe fall!

A Virtual Spring Quarter

Meetings on Discord

In place of our regular weekly in-personColony meetings, the group holds virtualones over Discord once every two weeks.Here all members get together to listen toupdates and news from executive board,as well as to connect during thisunfortunate time.

Spring Intramurals

In place of the usual outdoor sports, theUniversity of Chicago is hosting videogame intramural this Spring. Pike will becompeting in League of Legends, FIFA 20,NBA 2K, Rocket League, Chess, Scrabble,Super Smash Bros, and Madden NFL.
