THE IRISH AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP Chicago Golf Tournament Beverly Country Club - May 21, 2012
I t was a breezy, sunny day for The Irish American Partnership’s golf tournament at Beverly Country Club on Monday, May 21, 2012. Our thanks to Honorary Chairman Alderman Patrick J. O’Connor, Tournament Chairman Patrick Heneghan and the Chicago Golf Committee for their efforts in making the tournament a great success. Challenging golf and fine Irish camaraderie added to the great day. A special thank you to the tournament sponsors: Howard Labkon of Rose Worldwide and John Madden of First National Bank of LaGrange.
The winning foursome of Brian Hynes, Ryan Koszut, Jim Shannon and Andrew Weishar were awarded round-trip airline tickets to Ireland. Funds raised from the Partnership’s golf tournament at Beverly will support five schools in County Donegal, five schools in County Kerry and Tourmakeady College in Tourmakeady, County Mayo.
At the evening reception, Irish tenor Paddy Homan gave a lovely rendition of the American and Irish anthems. The Irish Consul General in Chicago, Aidan Cronin, addressed the golfers thanking them for their support for Ireland and endorsing the efforts of The Irish American Partnership.
Thank you to all participants for your support and generosity.
