From the Desk of Father José…..

In our Gospel today, we are reminded how important it is to face the journey with each other. We hear about the road to Emmaus. Those who witnessed the Crucifixion were obviously shaken, disturbed, and felt abandoned. When the risen Lord walked with them, He did not hesitate to face the pain they were going through. Our risen Lord did not hesitate to simply sit and spend time with them. On the contrary, the risen Lord made them feel so comfortable that somehow they were engaged in a dialogue of love and understanding. This Gospel is very providential for us today. May our journey be shared and lived through the experience of us walking with the risen Lord. Jesus, with all His love and understanding, does not want us to run away from our painful lived ex-

perience. He wants us to trust Him, stay with Him, and be with Him. May we invite Him to partake at our table in our Home Church. The News of our stay at home directives have caused a great deal of pain and dis-comfort for so many. And we must continue to acknowledge our pain and discomfort, but how awesome it is that we are all living this reality together as a family. Let us not be discouraged for we do recognize Him at the Breaking of the Bread and the breaking of our journey. We will sit by the Table of the Lord soon. Let us be at peace, God will provide. Please be assured of our prayers for you at your Home Church. Fraternally, Fr. José Magaña, V.F. Be at Peace, God will provide.
