Member Profile: Meet Tessa McDonald

Hello to all NPAA members! My name is Tessa McDonald and I am

honored to be the Western Canada Student Representative.

I have recently graduated from NorQuest College in Edmonton, Alberta.

I was enrolled in the Physical Therapy Assistant program which was

taken at a ‘fast-track’ speed, being completed in 16 months. When I

initially applied to NorQuest my intentions were to get out of school

fast and get a job. However, being in the program has shown me a love

for helping people in a holistic way. As of now I have completed both of

my practicums and am searching for a job. It will feel good to

eventually get a job in my community with all my newly acquired

knowledge to be able to support and educate individuals in rural Alberta about physiotherapy.
