Muriya bowl their way into Ramadan!The Muriya team took part in a highly competitive bowling tournament to mark the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan. Colleagues and coworkers formed seven teams, each with six people to face off in a fierce but friendly event. It was truly a night to remember!

Muriya is taking the stage at one of the most prestigious architectural events in the world on the 21st of September 2014, alongside design visionaries from around the world!

The event is an unparalleled opportunity for investors, architects and developers to come together

and showcase their work. It is not only a congregation of economic powerhouses, but a celebration of world-class destinations and their vision of the future. The awards boast a diverse portfolio of high-profile developments, ranging from culturally integrated city

skylines to sustainable urban communities, and Muriya will be presenting two of Oman’s leading integrated tourism complexes, highlighting Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach in its presentation.

Muriya will also participate at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London in November

later this year. Hamza Selim, Muriya CEO and Bahaa Hefzallah, Muriya Marketing Director, will showcase the progress made at Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach to global travel industry professionals, promoting Oman as the undiscovered jewel of the Arabian Peninsula.

Meet George Girguis, Sifawy Boutique

Hotel’s new Executive Chef

George Girguis has been appointed as the new Executive Chef at Sifawy Boutique Hotel, bringing 20 years of experience to develop exquisite contemporary dining experiences and enhance the flair of our culinary triumphs.

Chef George presented new Eid menus for both à la carte and buffet selections at Al Sabla Restaurant, as well as introduced some new innovative dishes with an Omani twist. Some favorite dishes on the current menu will also be improved, including the Angus beef, risotto and our homemade pastas. George will also be developing a new menu for As Sammak Restaurant in September, which will offer a wide variety of the freshest, locally-sourced seafood.

We have handed an additional eight apartments and one villa to the newest residents of our growing community at Salalah Beach, increasing our total handover to 86 units. We have also handed over two apartments to their owners as the neighborhood at Jebel Sifah continues to take shape. In total, 84 properties have been handed over, consisting of 76 apartments and 6 villas.

Calling all divers and marine enthusiasts! Jebel Sifah now boasts its own world-renowned Dive Centre, managed by leisure and tourism professionals at Extra Divers.

Extra Divers, Sifah, is coordinated by an internationally trained team who speak English, German and Arabic. Dive courses are proving popular and can be taken at this venue

in full adherence to highest SSI standards.

Two dives are scheduled each morning and another in the afternoon, with all equipment provided by the diving school. Regular day trips will also be available with excursions departing from Jebel Sifah Marina.

Large schools of fish, turtles, stingrays, leopard sharks,

moray eels, scorpion fish and nudibranchs are all plentiful in the surrounding areas. If you need additional company on the trip, you are likely to be welcomed to the water by dolphins, whom frequently accompany boat rides!

Our 18-hole, PGA golf course at Jebel Sifah, as envisioned by leading international designer Peter Harradine, continues to make excellent progress. Out of the 17 holes already shaped, we will soon turn the first five

holes green. The fairway will be among the most picturesque in the region with both oceanic and mountainous backdrops complementing various areas of the course. It is a sight to be seen, by golfers of all ages!

Peter’s experience in creating courses in a diverse range of landscapes in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, is proving invaluable in creating a world-class course for visitors to Salalah Beach.

Spanish Food Fiesta about to launch. Ole, Muscat!Catalan Chef extraordinaire Jordi Gimeno will be visiting Jebel Sifah from one of Europe’s classic locations for fine dining to lead a 10-day Catalonian & Spanish Food Festival, sponsored by OUA and Turkish Airlines. Key dates to remember are October 3rd to October 10th, when the Breeze Lounge and Al Sabla Restaurant will offer specialist menus designed by our host for a more formal take on the festivities, accompanied by daily tapas.
