This letter, along with its associated appendices, is intended to support Servicios a la Navegación en el Espacio Aéreo Mexicano (SENEAM) in developing procedurally separated routes based on the MMUN/MMCZ TMA airspace design developed during the early August 2016 SENEAM-MITRE airspace design workshop. It is important to note that the infonnation provided in this document represents MITRE's initial concept ofreducing controller intervention and pilot-controller coordination through procedural separation for further discussion with SENEAM. Once the procedurally separated routes are more fonnalized they will be used to support the upcoming Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) simulations being planned for early 2017. Appendix A contains the route definitions for the MMUN Area Navigation (RNAV) Standard Terminal Arrival Route (STAR) and RNAV Standard Instrument Departure (SID) definitions from the September 2016 route definition document (refer to MITRE document F500-L16-051), along with waypoints, altitudes, and speeds being considered to procedurally separate the routes. Airspeed restrictions, however, were not added to the RNAV SIDs in an effort to allow aircraft to maintain the most efficient forward speed as detennined by the pilot. Furthennore, the MMUN conventional SIDs designed by MITRE were not examined for procedural separation due to the low volume of aircraft utilizing the conventional SIDs. Appendix B contains the route definitions for the MMUN RNAV Offload SIDs from the above-mentioned September 2016 route definition document, along with the waypoints and altitudes being considered to procedurally separate the routes.
