CARD CATALOG
Love the Dewey Decimal System? Or the mystery of unopened books buried in libraries?
Well, this is a couple who did! And so, they decided to weave a library theme throughout their summer wedding.
A great opportunity to convey a theme is through creative escort card display. For this wedding (planned by LOLA Event Productions), the cards were alphabetized and stacked in a vintage library card catalog – a fun and adorable way to guide guests to their table.
The invitation set the tone by asking guests to respond if they were attending by checking “To Be” or “Not To Be”.
A beautiful start to their very own love story!

THIRD COAST COLLECTION
Pretty embellishments are always trending when it comes to invitations. This season, gorgeous die-cut wraps are catching our attention and making brides swoon.
In this custom wrap, the great city of Chicago is brought to life in the shape of that famous skyline. This sample opens up to a chic, blush pink invitation panel with shimmering silver foil calligraphy text. To complete the look, the matching envelopes are lined with a lovely charcoal paper.
Have different wedding colors? Not a problem! The color of the die-cut can be customized along with the fonts, design and hues of the invitation.
This is just one of the five newest designs in the Third Coast Collection by Magnificent Milestones. The custom line features invitation suites for all kinds of weddings and appeal to every type of bride whether you’re looking for something whimsical, modern or traditional!

A delicious signature drink is a fun way to serve something extra special and unique at a wedding reception. We chatted with Revae Schneider, founder of the fabulous Femme Du Coupe, to get her advice on creating the perfect custom cocktail.
In your experience, how do most couples choose a signature drink for their wedding? If we do custom cocktails for the couple it truly is unique to them. I try to find out the classic cocktails they like, the flavors they love, and anything they don’t like.
How far in advance should a couple start thinking about alcohol for their wedding? I think deciding on a cocktail around 1-2 months ahead of time is best. You’ll get the best representation of the seasonal flavors!
Is there a general well-received drink that you recommend? I find that smashes are usually a hit and a personal favorite. A french 75 or a well made whiskey sour are also usually crowd pleasers.
What is your favorite drink for the winter season (if you can even pick just one!)? Right now I’m in love with drinking gin, lemon, our Le Sirop Winter Spice, with just a bit of Angostura bitters. It’s delish!
Can you tell us a little about Femme Du Coupe’s line of cocktail syrups? Sounds like a great favor idea! Le Sirop, our line of Curated Cocktail Syrups are meant to be used for cocktails at home. They can either be used to sweeten your cocktails or made into really fantastic lemonades and sodas! They’ll change with the seasons just as your wardrobe does. Use your favorite spirit, add a little fresh citrus, a bit of syrup and you’re on your way!

SPOTLIGHTIf you’re in the market for a stunning, one-of-a-kind gown, stop by VWIDON in River North.
The timeless gowns are designed by husband and wife duo, Carla Hwang and Kenneth Park, and showcased in a beautifully modern salon on Superior Street. They only work with one bride at a time, so while you’re there you feel like the entire salon exists for you – every bride’s fantasy! Shopping for a gown in VWIDON becomes an experience to remember and cherish. No stress within those walls!
We do admit to a teensy bit of bias since both Kara and Charlotte bought their wedding dresses from Carla and Kenneth. But we can attest firsthand to the quality and beauty of the gowns, as well as the personal customer service.
