2013 WINNERS

2013 I AM JUGGERNAUT OVERALL GRAND PRIZE WINNERMARYLYN MINERS on the cover

Having the opportunity to attend the 2013 Arnold Classic was an absolutely amazing experience! The minute I arrived to the hotel, meeting my fellow Juggernauts, Infinite Labs athletes and reps was so exciting! Because of the relationships we

developed during the I Am Juggernaut challenge, it felt like we had been friends for years and it was so wonderful to finally meet everybody face to face!

From that moment on, the entire weekend was a whirlwind of amazing activities! Thanks to Jordan Foster and Joe Palumbo who took such good care of all of us, anything we wanted to do they made it happen! Meet and greet with the pros, VIP tickets to all of the pre-judging and final shows, and working alongside fellow Juggernauts, Infinite Labs pros and reps in the booth at the expo. It was so much fun working in the booth and the energy was through the roof! It was such a pleasure to share with visitors to the expo my positive experience with the Infinite Labs products, and to share my results from using the products. Anytime we left the booth to venture out into the expo, Jordan was right there to escort us! That was such a bonus because he knows all of the ins and outs and knows his way around!

I also had an incredible opportunity to have a personal training session with IFBB Pro Joe Palumbo. That was amazing!!! Joe is incredibly knowledgeable and to have that one on one time with him was priceless.

And if all that I experienced was not enough, I ended the weekend with a private luncheon and meet and greet with the man himself, Arnold!!! They even took a photo of the two of us and sent it to me in a beautiful frame!

The entire weekend was non-stop excitement, with absolutely amazing people. I have so many great memories from that weekend, and I have made friendships that continue to grow. I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

Thank you Infinite Labs for such an incredible opportunity, I am truly grateful!

2013 I AM JUGGERNAUT GRAND PRIZE WINNERVALERIE BISHOP

In April of 2012, I joined bodybuilding.com in hopes of getting serious about fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by an Infinite Labs rep and my life was never the same again.

I made an attempt at the Olympia 2012 I am Juggernaut contest, but I hadn’t yet built the determination and stamina needed to excel in a 12 week challenge. I was disappointed in my failure, but the amazing thing about Infinite Labs is that they create so many outlets for support, such as via facebook and bodybuilding.com forums.

Gaining confidence, I entered the Arnold portion of the I am Juggernaut challenge with my head in the game and the drive to succeed. During the 12 week challenge, I pushed myself harder than I ever have. Even on days when I didn’t do my best, I still was able to find the will and inspiration through the Infinite Labs reps, and the many other Juggernauts in the challenge. Despite the fact that we were all in it to win it, everyone was insanely inspirational and motivating – we left no one behind. To this day I know I can still turn to my Juggernaut friends for motivation, fitness and nutrition tips, anything. The Infinite Athletes are always more than happy to share their success secrets as well, so really the only limit on success is yourself – Infinite Labs has outstanding products, fast service, and wonderful athletes who are always there for everyone.

Going to the Arnold Body Building Expo as my prize for being a top 5 I am Juggernaut winner was amazing. I was finally able to meet the Infinite Labs’ reps and other Juggernauts I had spent so much time chatting with on facebook and the bodybuilding.com forums. It was an adventure that I am so thankful to have, especially since I got to meet my favorite bodybuilding.com fitness experts Jamie Eason and Chris Gethin at the expo. I loved working side by side with my Juggernaut pals and Infinite Labs to promote their products and spread the word.

I took a shuttle from the hotel to the expo and people on the bus asked what brought me to the show. I explained I had won a 12 week challenge on bodybuilding.com and that Infinite Labs had rewarded 5 of us with an expenses paid trip: the flight to and from Ohio, hotel, and food and that we all got to help out at the Infinite Labs booth. People could not believe a supplement company was that dedicated to their customers and were

amazed; they even asked when the next challenge would be!

I still currently use Infinite Labs products and probably always will, as my results and experiences have been so outstanding. My life has been on a positive path to lifetime healthiness ever since encountering Infinite Labs, and I know without this company and it’s amazing people I would not be where I’m at now. I cannot thank them enough – I love you guys!

2013 I AM JUGGERNAUT GRAND PRIZE WINNERMANUEL LIRIO

I joined the I am Juggernaut challenge in an effort to stay motivated with my training and path to a healthier lifestyle. I found that logging my journey not only kept me accountable, but also provided a nice platform to look back on and keep a history of where I had been and where I was going. What I was not expecting to find was a community and forum where I became acquainted with so many great folks from all walks of life. It was fascinating to see others motivating each other and offering great advice not only with their fitness struggles, but daily life struggles that they faced. From the day I was selected as one of the winners of the challenge, I was treated as a VIP from Infinite Labs. They sent me free product and provided an all-expenses paid trip to the Arnold Sports Festival. From the moment of arrival I felt like the most important person there. That’s because everyone, from the company owner, the IFBB Pro’s representing the company, to all employees working the booth worked hard to ensure that my every need was met. We were assigned a personal escort to take us around the show, introduce us to other companies, supplied us with free samples, took care of all our meals, and were treated to all access passes to all events at the venue. Additionally, we were introduced to the top level athletes, physique and fitness models. It’s like getting a chance to attend the Olympics and getting to meet, talk and get photos with every medal winner. It was an experience I will never forget! After returning from the show, I was pumped and excited. I received great advice from IFBB Pro Joe Palumbo and other athletes about gaining mass and putting on size. I returned home, and following their advice, in 3 months was able to put on 15 pounds of solid mass. Soon after I took the stage in the NPC Connecticut State Championships were I placed third. I plan on competing again. Armed with the knowledge acquired from the Infinite Labs community, whether to be consistent with nutrition and training, to variation of exercises, to pushing beyond limits; I know that creating a better me is happening! Doing the I Am Juggernaut challenge enabled me to make lifelong friendships. The support and motivation provided during the challenge hasn’t ceased and has continued in the I Am Juggernaut Facebook group and the Infinite Labs pages and website. Infinite Labs products are by far the best I have ever used and are now the only products I use. Their passion for creating the best supplements has transcended into creating the best fitness community, second to none. I am very grateful for the opportunity Infinite Labs provided me and thank them for welcoming me into the Infinite Labs family with open arms.

2013 I AM JUGGERNAUT GRAND PRIZE WINNERZACKARY KRESSER

I first got introduced

to Infinite Labs

back when they

were having their

contest for the I

am Juggernaut

Challenge back in

8/12/2012.

I joined the challenge to see if I could push myself to get

into shape a bit. What I found was an amazing support

system in the IAJ (I Am Juggernaut) family that allowed

me to reach goals past what I set for myself. Not wanting

to disappoint myself or anyone else, I pushed myself.

With the help of products from Infinite Labs, I was able

to be one of the finalist in the challenge and go to the

Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio. That was a dream come

true being at the Arnold and surrounded by like minded

people and meeting the very people that I would look at

in fitness magazines and admire. I was treated like family

by the Infinite Labs team and Pro’s. After the show was

done I wanted more, so I reached out to IFBB Pro Joe

Palumbo, one of Infinite Labs Pro’s, and told him I wanted

to compete. So with his years of knowledge and guidance

and my hunger to be the best that I can be, I was able to

win the NJ Tri State Championship in my weight class.

I am now a national level competitor and in the best shape

of my life and I owe a huge thanks to Infinite Labs, The IAJ

Challenge, and IFBB Pro Joe Palumbo.

SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS AND USEAs an adult dietary supplement, take 1 serving mixed with 4 to 6 ounces (120-180 mL) of water 30 minutes prior to training. Optimal intake may be 1 serving twice a day.

Supplement FactsServing Size 1 scoop (750 mg)Servings Per Container 30

Amount Per Serving % DV

Agmatine Sulfate 750 mg †

Percent Daily Values (DV) are based on a 2,000 calorie diet.†Daily Value (DV) not established. Your Daily Values (DV) may be higher or lower depending on your calorie needs.

The benefits of Agmatine include enhanced muscle pumps, more effective nutrient transport, improved nutrient partitioning (greater number of calories shunted towards muscle tissue and less stored in fat cells), increased blood flow, and greater production of luteinizing hormone and growth hormone. Agmatine appears to boost muscle pumps in various ways:

Agmatine may enhance nutrient partitioning, which leads to more muscle glycogen (carbohydrates stored in muscle tissues) stored, thus more water retained in the muscle. This can lead to a “fuller” look to the muscle and enhanced muscle pumps.*

Agmatine appears to increase NO production by playing a competitive inhibitor role of the enzyme nitric oxide synthase. The nutrient partitioning effects of Agmatine may be due to its potential ability to increase the insulin response to carbohydrates, as well as the increased blood flow to the muscle seen with increased nitric oxide production. Agmatine may play a potential role in the hypothalamic control of luteinizing hormone (LH), thusly leading to increased levels of both hormones.*

AGMATINE

Defining Agmatine: Arginine vs. Agmatine

Playing a large role in the production of Nitric Oxide (NO), Arginine has been labeled as a big Growth Hormone (GH) releaser and utilized by athletes and bodybuilders around the world. Along with GH production, Arginine is well renowned for its capacity to stimulate protein synthesis, sustain the endogenous production of creatine, support insulin sensitivity via attenuation of blood glucose, as well as its assistance during the removal of nitrogenous waste in the urea cycle. It has even been shown to play a general health role in post myocardial infarction patients, as well as serve as a potential aid in sexual dysfunction instances, specifically involving enhancement of spermatogenesis (sperm production).*

Until recently, Arginine has been labeled as a go to supplement in many athletic and bodybuilding regimens. However, with the growing literature and knowledge on the potential ergogenic value of Agmatine, athletes are beginning to gear their supplementation needs in a new direction. Agmatine is likely the one molecule to take part in more metabolic processes than Arginine. There exists nineteen well-documented mechanisms of action suggested in the research and a minimum of thirteen elicit direct benefits to the athlete or bodybuilder with even more effects emerging as the research continues.*

The benefits of Agmatine include enhanced muscle pumps, more effective nutrient transport, improved nutrient partitioning (greater number of calories shunted towards muscle tissue and less stored in fat cells), increased blood flow, and greater production of luteinizing hormone and growth hormone. AGMATINE MAY HELP TO:

• INCREASE LUTEINIZING HORMONE PRODUCTION*

• IMPROVE TRAINING PERFORMANCE*

• IMPROVE POST EXERCISE RECOVERY*

• IMPROVE INSULIN SENSITIVITY & CALCIUM UPTAKE*

Beta-alanine supplementation has been shown to increase vasodilatation, and thus, muscular pumps. Due to the increases in carnosine levels, it also acts as a powerful precursor in producing nitric oxide synthase, a group of enzymes necessary for making the powerful vasodilator nitric oxide. These benefits associated with beta-alanine supplementation will enhance any training regimen and help delay the onset of fatigue.*

<< Agmatine appears to increase NO production by playing a competitive inhibitor role of the enzyme nitric oxide synthase. The nutrient partitioning effects of Agmatine may be due to its potential ability to increase the insulin response to carbohydrates, as well as the increased blood flow to the muscle seen with increased nitric oxide production. Agmatine may play a potential role in the hypothalamic control of luteinizing hormone (LH) and GH release, thusly leading to increased levels of both hormones.

Agmatine as an Ergogenic Aid

Agmatine enhances insulin production which elicits better insulin responses. Increased insulin response has been shown to have positive effects on body composition and musculature.

Agmatine contains antidepressant properties and anxiolytic (anxiety reliever) which can be beneficial in the heavy loading and high-stress life of a bodybuilder.

Agmatine acts on catecholamine release (Epinephrine > Norepinephrine > Dopamine). These endogenous compounds are utilized in almost every action throughout the human body. Specific to the athlete is the role in energy production and support in stress relief.

Agmatine offers potential assistance in kidney function via stimulation of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR). This can prep

the bodybuilder as various nitrogenous waste products are eliminated through this system.

Agmatine serves as a potential aid in the recovery process of the athlete. It can also enhance the effects of analgesics required during recuperation from injury.

Agmatine stimulates GH and LH. In addition to the obvious effects on overall body composition, the stimulation of GH and LH levels can also be helpful in maintaining a healthy lifestyle as age sets in. The stimulation of pituitary hormones may also lead to stimulation of other various hormones such as IGF-1.

Agmatine modulates NO through a variety of mechanisms. It stimulates some types of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) while restraining others. This is crucial to the proper functioning of the polyamine biosynthetic pathways.

Specific to body composition, Agmatine has an independent role of testosterone and insulin management on lipid (fat) metabolism.

Agmatine offers antioxidant properties. This is of particular interest to the committed athlete. The load an athlete endures throughout a strict training regimen directly affects the free-radical buildup in the human body and can have damaging effects if the buildup continues. Agmatine can serve as a protection from these unwanted effects that free radicals propose to the body.

Agmatine acts as a novel neurotransmitter and can support a healthy mood. It can be beneficial to those looking to achieve a mental edge, whether it be in the gym or in everyday life.

Agmatine holds a hypotensive role which could assist the exogenously-enhanced athlete in regulating blood pressure.

As a result of these effects, supplementing any athletic and/or bodybuilding regimen with Agmatine may improve athletic performance, increase fat loss, and increase muscle size, vascularity, and fullness. Additional benefits including protection against free radical damage, antidepressant effects, and enhanced recovery mechanisms also add to the quality of everyday life. Arginine was the miracle worker of its time, but Agmatine appears to be an even better supplemental option in regards to body physique advancements and performance.

CARNO CRE™ Malic AcidMalic acid is a dicarboxylic acid made by all living organisms. It is formed in metabolic cycles in the cells and is produced and broken down in the human body every day. Malic acid is involved in cell metabolism and is the source of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which assumes a central role in the energy production rates of all cells in the human body. For instance, in both the glyoxalate and Kreb cycles, it provides the cells with carbon skeletons and energy for the formation of amino acids.*

L-TyrosineL-Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid with a polar side group found in foods such as fish, dairy and meat. L-tyrosine is a precursor to several neurotransmitters including epinephrine. These chemicals are in charge of various functions such as energy, mood and appetite. Tyrosine has been shown to enhance the metabolic rate of the body.*

L-HistidineL-Histidine is a derivative from the amino acid, Histamine. Histamine is a hormone/chemical transmitter involved in the regulation of stomach acid production and serves as a mediator of immediate hypersensitivity in allergic reactions. When released from cells, histamine causes vasodilation and plays a key role in the production of red and white blood cells. Supplementation with histidine has been suggested to support muscle carnosine concentrations.* When combined with beta-alanine, the effects are enhanced.*

Creatine MonohydrateCreatine Monohydrate is one of the original forms of creatine that was introduced in the form of a supplement. It is a compound made up of three amino acids: Arginine, Methionine, and Glycine, and is produced primarily in the liver. It can also be found in various meats and fish. Creatine provides additional energy to the muscles, acts as a lactic acid buffer, serves as a hydration mechanism for the cells, and enhances protein synthesis.*

Creatine MagnaPower®

The full potential of creatine as a supplement is limited by the lactamation reaction, which alters a major part of the creatine consumed into inert creatinine; this reaction binds the amino group of creatine with its acid group. This reaction will essentially lock up the creatine molecule, transforming it into creatinine and making it anabolically inert. Creatine MagnaPower® eliminates this disadvantage by mixing the creatine with magnesium. Magnesium has strong alkali properties that decrease the environmental acidity of creatine and preserve it in its ready-to-use solution.*

Creatine PyruvatePyruvate is a by-product produced in the body during the normal metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates. When glucose is broken down, it produces two molecules of pyruvate; when oxygen levels in the body are high, the pyruvate breaks down into carbon dioxide via a series of reactions in the Krebs cycle. When oxygen levels in the body are insufficient, pyruvate is broken down, anaerobically, to form lactic acid. Increased levels of lactic acid elicit decreased performance levels. Creatine pyruvate introduces lactic acid buffering properties and extends this process so an athlete can train for longer durations of time. Pyruvate also promotes glucose extraction from the bloodstream and into the muscle tissues.*

Di-Creatine MalateDi-Creatine Malate is a highly soluble creatine salt that enhances the creatine bioavailability over regular creatine monohydrate. This particular compound of creatine is combined with malic acid, which plays a natural role in our energy cycle. Malic acid and creatine combined offers a much greater rate of ATP production and may help enhance athletic performance and endurance.*

Beta-AlanineBeta-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid and is the only naturally occurring beta-amino acid. When engaging in intense training, the body will accumulate large amounts of hydrogen ions (H+), which cause the muscles’ pH to decrease and become more acidic. When pH decreases, strength will also begin to subside and fatigue will set in. These limitations hinder you from adequately overloading your muscles and inhibit muscle gains. By supplementing with beta-alanine, the body’s carnosine levels will increase. Carnosine acts as an intracellular buffer, which aids in stabilizing muscular pH by soaking up hydrogen ions that are released during exercise.*

and white blood cells. Supplementation with histidine has been suggested to support muscle carnosine concentrations. When combined with beta-alanine, the effects may be enhanced.*

Creatine provides additional energy to the muscles, acts as a lactic acid buffer, serves as a hydration mechanism for the cells, and supports protein synthesis.*

Creatine MagnaPower®

The full potential of creatine as a supplement is limited by the lactamation reaction, which alters a major part of the creatine consumed into inert creatinine; this reaction binds the amino group of creatine with its acid group. This reaction will essentially lock up the creatine molecule, transforming into creatinine and making it anabolically inert. Creatine MagnaPower® eliminates this disadvantage by mixing the creatine with magnesium. Magnesium has strong alkali properties that decrease the environmental acidity of creatine and maintain it in its ready-to-use solution.*

Malic acid and creatine combined offers a greater rate of ATP production and may help support athletic

performance and endurance.*

Bioperine®

Bioperine® is an extract from the black pepper fruit that is grown in nutrient-rich soils. This extract of piperine has been clinically tested in the United States and has been suggested support the bioavailability of various supplemental nutrients via increased absorption.*

L-TaurineTaurine is a derivative of the amino acid, cysteine, which contains a sulfhydryl group. It occurs naturally in seafood and meat. It has been suggested that Taurine is necessary for the proper functioning and maintenance of skeletal muscles, as well as an essential component in supporting healthy cardiovascular function.*

CaffeineCaffeine is the most commonly consumed supplement in the world, as it is inexpensive, medically safe and legal. Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant and promotes mental alertness, focus, and can facilitate overall body coordination.* It has been suggested to increase physical endurance and delay onset of fatigue. In combination with other ingredients (as seen in Juggernaut® HP), caffeine seems to aid in short-term weight reduction.*

Tyrosine has been suggested to enhance the metabolic rate of the body.*ReferencesAntonio, J (2004). Agmatine SulfateAgmatine (4-aminobutyl) guanidine, NH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-NH-C(-NH2)(=NH)), is a byproduct of the amino acid Arginine and acts as an intermediate in polyamine biosynthesis. It is generated through a process referred to as decarboxylation which is a chemical reaction that releases carbon dioxide (CO2); it is essentially Arginine with the carboxylic acid end eliminated. Agmatine is synthesized in the brain, stored in synaptic vesicles, collected by uptake, discharged by membrane depolarization, and inactivated by agmatinase.*

As a result of these effects, supplementing any athletic and/or bodybuilding regimen with Agmatine may promote athletic performance, fat loss, and muscle size, vascularity, and fullness.* Additional benefits include antioxidant support, and recovery support. Arginine was the “miracle worker” of its time, but Agmatine appears to be an even better supplemental option in regards to promoting body physique advancements and performance.*

Malic AcidMalic acid is a dicarboxylic acid made by all living organisms.

L-NorvalineL-Norvaline is a version of the branched chain amino acid, valine. It is found in various foods such as meats, grains, dairy, peanuts and soy products. L-Norvaline is involved in the indirect increase of nitric oxide levels in the blood. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme, Arginase, which is utilized in the breakdown and removal of Arginine into urea. Arginine acts as a precursor to nitric oxide, thus the inhibition of arginase will support the concentration of Arginine, promoting nitric oxide production.*

L-HistidineL-Histidine is a derivative from the amino acid, Histamine. Histamine is a hormone/chemical transmitter involved in the regulation of stomach acid production. When released from cells, histamine causes vasodilation and plays a key role in the production of red

JUGGERNAUT®

A Juggernaut is a term used to depict a literal or metaphorical force viewed as unstoppable.

This is the mentality Infinite Labs® had in mind when we crafted our original pre-workout formula, JUGGERNAUT®. Engineered to be directed towards bodybuilders and athletes alike, JUGGERNAUT® is armed with an innovative Glyco-Core™ Plasma Expander specifically designed to enhance muscle pumps during training. This formula may prevent dehydration and fatigue, increase endurance, and may be the perfect complement to your training regimen.*

The components in JUGGERNAUT® were selected by Infinite Labs® research and developmental scientists and are based on human and in vitro (outside of the living organism) studies published in scientific, peer-reviewed journals. It is an all-in-one, pre-workout supplement that may fuel muscle fiber growth, enhance explosive power and reduce fatigue while promoting an intense element of mental focus.* Circumstances are said to be created by the mind. JUGGERNAUT® may empower you to bring mind and muscle to life – allowing you to generate the greatest possible bodybuilding circumstances for your workout.*

Hypertrophic Myovascular Expansion Complex™These complexes work effortlessly across the muscle cell, with intracellular and vascular spaces providing entire-muscle support of volume, hypertrophy, and anabolism.* Research suggests that independent hormone influence or substrate influence decreases cell volume, leading to cellular catabolism or protein breakdown, while an increase in cell volume is suggested to lead to anabolism or protein synthesis.*

Essentially, hormones tell the cell to shrink or swell, and it is this action (not the hormone’s action) that leads to changes in protein metabolism. Moreover, research has also shown that during intense resistance exercise, dehydration reduces plasma testosterone responses to exercise. Incorporating JUGGERNAUT® before any workout enhances cell volume and hydration, thusly promoting an anabolic state.*

ProGrow Whey Complex™JUGGERNAUT® provides three grams of non-essential and essential amino acids in order to help elicit a net muscle protein gain following resistance exercise. A clinical study recently published in the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research suggests that the use of pre/post-workout drinks for those training to build a bigger/leaner body elicited positive results. These results coincided with results from a 2006 study that demonstrated enhanced testosterone levels (in conjunction with reduced muscle breakdown) when essential amino acids (EAA) were administered to a group of lifters during four >>

<< weeks of intense weight training.* The group not receiving EEA had a drop in testosterone levels after four weeks, which suggests EEA’s are effective for diminishing muscle strength loss during initial high-volume stress, possibly by reducing muscle damage by maintaining an anabolic environment.*

Reducing cortisol levels is also an effective way to stimulate muscle hypertrophy. Recent research suggests that incorporating 6g of EAA post exercise may help reduce post-exercise muscle damage by nearly 50%. BCAAs are both anti-catabolic and anabolic due to their ability to significantly increase protein synthesis, maintain a favorable testosterone-to-cortisol ratio, and facilitate the release of hormones such as growth hormone (GH), insulin and IGF-1.*

One of the best times to ingest protein is pre-workout; this is thought to be due to the increase in muscle blood flow during exercise, which helps utilize amino acids provided by digested protein into muscle cells. The JUGGERNAUT® formula carries a wide array of components that promote optimal performance due to their broad spectrum of energizing and volumizing properties.*

Glyco-Core™Glyco-Core™ enhances the water-carrying capacity and volume of plasma, thus supporting heavier workloads and enhancing muscularity and vascularity. As glycerol draws water into the plasma, creatine draws water into the muscle cell to stimulate volume-induced anabolism and, eventually, hypertrophy of the muscle. Glycerol has been utilized to provoke hyperhydration in an attempt to offset the damaging effects of dehydration during long-term aerobic exercise. When glycerol is consumed orally, it is absorbed swiftly, primarily in the small intestine; it is reported to disperse evenly among all fluid compartments and promotes hyperhydration by stimulating an osmotic gradient. Once consumed, the plasma glycerol concentration increases in proportion to the dose ingested, ultimately suggesting that, without supplemental glycerol ingestion, there would be a decrease in the osmotic gradient – resulting in a loss of hyperhydration.*

JUGGERNAUT® incorporates a high amount of glycerol that adds to its enhanced plasma volume effect and greater muscle pumps. It also contains magnesium, chromium, cinnamon and glucose polymers that support insulin action for maximum creatine utilization. Acting as a buffer of two-carbon acetyl groups in muscle fibers, carnitine endures muscle force levels in the face of fatigue.*

Intense Nitric Oxide Initiating Complex™Nitric Oxide (NO) is a key vasodilator produced in the body from the amino acid arginine. When smooth muscle lining relaxes, blood vessel diameter increases, which ultimately stimulates blood flow.* The body’s selected source of Arginine for NO production is citrulline. Arginase is an enzyme that synthesizes arginine, thus limiting the production of NO. Norvaline, seen in the JUGGERNAUT® formula, is a natural inhibitor of Arginase. Vitamins B-12 and folic acid are co-factors for enzymes involved in NO construction. Guanidinopropionic acid is an insulin-sensitizer utilized by athletes to stimulate muscle cell volumization; it has also been suggested to play a role in appetite regulation.*

The use of creatine as an ergogenic aid gained popularity back in the early 1990s. Creatine consists of three amino acids—arginine, glycine and methionine—and can be found in various protein sources such as chicken, salmon and beef. A compound also naturally produced in the body, creatine provides energy to the working muscles for short bursts via creatine phosphate replenishment of ATP. Creatine functions as an ergogenic aid by increasing cell volumization and drawing water into the muscles cells—increasing their size. Research has suggested that creatine can increase energy, strength, muscle mass, as well as decrease time to recovery.*

Creatine MagnaPower®, or magnesium creatine chelate, is a patented version of creatine molecularly bonded to magnesium to promote the synthesis and regeneration of ATP. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the human body and facilitates over 300 biochemical reactions. In addition to maintaining normal nerve and muscle function, magnesium supports a steady heart rhythm, a healthy immune system, regulates blood sugar levels and blood pressure, plays a role in energy metabolism, protein synthesis and maintains the integrity of the bone structure.*

Due to a phenomenon known as the lactamation reaction, where the creatine molecule is transformed into inert creatinine, many forms of creatine are limited from reaching their full potential. By binding the amino group of creatine with its acid group, this reaction locks up the creatine molecule, thus making it anabolically inert. This reaction has been shown to be accelerated by acidic environments, including the acidity of the upper gastrointestinal tract.*Due to magnesium’s strong alkali properties, it has been shown to decrease the acidic environment that ultimately thwarts the

full potential of creatine and maintain it in its fully active form. By creating magnesium creatine chelate with a patented technology that protects the creatine molecule from lactamation reaction, Creatine MagnaPower® supports the amount of physiologically active creatine available for muscle cell metabolism—ultimately promoting increases in muscle energy. Due to these larger amounts of ATP which make the muscle fibers contraction more effective, supplementing with Creatine MagnaPower® has been shown to enhance the speed of muscle development, strength, and play an additional role in muscle recovery.*ReferencesBrilla, L.R., Giroux, M.S., Taylor, A., and Knutzen, K.M. During digestion, free form L-glutamine is highly susceptible and unstable, and it’s typically robbed by the gut and the immune system explicitly. In terms of bodybuilding, one of the main objectives of glutamine supplementation is to enhance the recovery process by slowing muscle catabolism and enhancing protein synthesis. Consequently, if the L-glutamine molecules are specifically targeting the gut and the immune system, this leaves almost nothing to assist the muscle in their repairing process. Thus, Infinite Labs® has combined four types of glutamine, including the susceptible L-glutamine molecule, which provides a more stable and highly bioavailable glutamine matrix in order to supply the body with the most optimal form of glutamine supplementation. These other glutamine forms (L-Glutamine Alpha Keto Glutarate; N-Acetyl L-Glutamine; L-Glutamine Peptide) offer different pharmacokinetic properties that are able to reach the muscle cells in order to ensure all of the essential functions required by bodybuilders and athletes.*

Glutamine is considered to be the most abundant amino acid in the human body – making up more than 60% of skeletal muscle tissue. Glutamine is synthesized by the enzyme glutamine synthetase from glutamate and ammonia. 19% of the glutamine molecule is made up of nitrogen, thusly making it the primary medium of nitrogen to the muscles. It is found in high concentrations in the brain, heart, kidneys, lungs, gut lining and liver, and it serves as a fuel for the immune system and digestive track. Along with its key role in the immune system and the intestinal lining, glutamine plays a major part in cell-volumizing and muscle protein synthesis, as well as promoting healthy blood sugar control, already in normal range. In the brain, glutamine is converted to glutamic acid and stimulates the synthesis of GABA, an essential brain neurotransmitter.*

Research suggests bodybuilders and athletes can benefit from increased consumption of this non-essential amino acid –especially post-workout. When you train, glutamine levels typically drop as much as 50%. Muscle catabolism sets in post-workout as the body robs the muscles of glutamine to utilize in the immune system or nitrogen transport. Lactic acid build up also accumulates in the muscles as a direct consequence of an intense workout. Studies have continuously suggested that glutamine supplementation effectively decreases muscle tissue breakdown, while promoting protein metabolism.*

BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids)BCAAs are the essential aminos: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. The combination of these amino acids makes up approximately one third of skeletal muscle tissue in the body. As the building blocks of protein, they play a major role in the process of protein synthesis. As food goes through the digestion process, the protein that the food contains is broken down into individual and short chains of amino acids; they are then minute enough to be absorbed into the bloodstream. After a training session, the body is in a catabolic state (breaking down of muscle tissue) with a deficit in protein synthesis. This is due to the MAPK signaling pathway that is activated post exercise, which is the body’s own way of signaling muscle growth. The purpose of this pathway is to increase protein synthesis, however it is not as effective as when combined with the BCAA signaling cascade. These two pathways act independently from one another, so when adequate amounts of BCAAs are consumed after a workout, the body enters a greater state of hypertrophy with a positive amount of protein synthesis.*

L-GlutamineOf all the amino acids found in the human body, glutamine is the most abundant amino, making up over 60% of the skeletal muscle tissues. Glutamine plays an essential role in anti-catabolism, protein metabolism, cell volumizing, and increased production and secretion of Growth Hormone (GH). It is the primary source of energy for the immune system and maintains the structural integrity of the lining of the intestines. In the brain, it is converted to Glutamic acid and promotes the synthesis of GABA, an important brain neurotransmitter that may potentially enhance cognitive function.*

Beta-AlanineBeta-alanine is a non-essential amino acid and is the only naturally occurring beta-amino acid. Beta-alanine’s effects are realized by enhancing the synthesis of carnosine, a dipeptide (two amino acids)

intracellular buffer. When beta-alanine is combined with BCAAs it has been shown to reduce post workout muscle soreness from exercise, suggesting that beta-alanine in combination with BCAAs have syntergistic effects on speeding up the recovery process. Beta-alanine can also enhance creatine’s ability to reduce body fat and build lean muscle tissue in combination with resistance training.*

N-Acetyl-L-TyrosineN-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine is a form of the amino acid tyrosine that is much more bioavailable than regular tyrosine supplements. It is utilized in the body to produce numerous hormones and neurotransmitters, including dopamine, thyroid hormone, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. The addition of the acetyl group to tyrosine elicits an increased ability to enter the brain, thusly making its effects more concentrated and enhancing the effectiveness of tyrosine. N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine serves as a building block used to make various proteins and chemicals that the body can utilize.*

L-PhenylalanineL-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid essential to the process of protein synthesis. L-Phenylalanine can be converted into the amino acid L-tyrosine and later to norepinephrine, epinephrine and dopamine. L-Phenylalanine may also aid in the regeneration of damaged muscle tissue, often caused by strenuous sports and activities that require muscular endurance.*

Acetyl L-CarnitineHigh doses of Acetyl-L-Carnitine make it possible for lipids to be more effectively transported into cells where they are used as an energy source. The Lipid Oxidation Complex has been designed to assist in controlling appetite and stimulating the metabolism.

Green Tea ExtractGreen tea, in combination with its natural caffeine content, has been shown to enhance thermogenesis, as well as inhibit the effects of catechol-O-methyltransferase, an enzyme known for triggering the breakdown of brain chemicals involved in regulating appetite. Green tea may also fight the decrease in metabolism that typically accompanies weight loss.*

CaffeineCaffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant and promotes mental alertness and focus while facilitating overall body coordination. It has been shown to increase physical endurance and delay onset of fatigue.

Irvingia GabonensisStudies have shown that irvingia gabonensis seeds may lower cholesterol due to their high fiber content; the fiber extracted from these nuts induces cholesterol to be removed from the body. These seeds may also play a role in fat cell reduction and increase lipid metabolism.*

Phenylethylamine HClResearch has suggested that it functions as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system of mammals. Enhanced mood and weight-loss related benefits have been reported when utilized as a dietary supplement.*

Synephrine HClSynephrine is an adrenergic amine that allows for the release of adrenaline and noradrenaline by stimulating beta-3 receptors which may support a fast metabolic rate.*

Tyramine HClSimilar to synephrine, tyramine can cause the release of stored monoamines, such as dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine, which may play a potential role in lipolysis (release of fatty acids from white adipose tissue).*

EvodiamineEvodiamine may stimulate the vanilloids to reduce the uptake of fat and enhance the natural rate of burning fat. It also introduces a significant thermogenic effect that may enhance this fat burning process.*

SclareolideSclareolide is a natural extract of the clary sage plant that proposes ergogenic benefits

such as increases in energy levels and preservation of lean muscle mass throughout a weight loss regimen. Sclareolide increases ATP conversion to cAMP, an intracellular messenger that accelerates several cellular processes including thyroid production and lipid metabolism.*

N-Methyl-PhenylethylamineThis is the N-methyl derivative of the compound, Phenylethylamine. N-Methyl-Phenylethylamine is an isolated amine from Acacia rigidula that has been suggested for its fat burning properties and energizing effects.*

Bioperine®

This extract of piperine has been clinically tested in the United States and has been shown to significantly enhance the bioavailability of various supplemental nutrients via increased absorption rates.*

Chromium PicolinateIt is a nutritional supplement that works to increase the efficiency of insulin to optimal levels. Combining chromium with picolinic acid essentially enhances the efficiency of chromium absorption which is necessary for insulin to be optimally effective.*

L-carnitine is synthesized from the amino acids lysine and methionine and is accountable for the transport of fatty acids from the cytosol into the mitochondria to be oxidized for energy. Research has suggested that L-carnitine supplementation increases fat utilization and spares muscle glycogen, thus promoting performance. Several studies have also suggested that L-carnitine may promote recovery from exercise by enhancing blood flow regulation via an enhanced vasodilatory effect that helps reduce the magnitude of exercise-induced hypoxia. Reduced muscle soreness and enhanced recovery have been suggested following high-intensity resistance exercise in individuals who supplemented with L-carnitine.*

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is essentially a fatty acid that has been suggested to promote fat loss, decrease catabolism, support bone density and promote healthy immune system function. Research has advocated CLA supplementation and its potential to improve the ratio of lean body mass to fat by supporting insulin sensitivity, thereby allowing fatty acids and glucose to pass more easily through muscle-cell membranes and away from fat tissue.*

Raspberry ketones are a natural phenol, organic compound responsible for creating the aroma in red raspberries. Raspberry ketones have been suggested to boost metabolic functioning and promote lipid utilization. The primary mechanism of action is a result of their ability to manipulate the enzyme lipase. Lipase facilitates the breakdown of fat cells, so the increase in lipase activity due to raspberry ketones may result in a greater amount of fat cells being broken down and burned as fuel during training sessions and everyday activities.*ReferencesBacurau RFP, Navarro F, Bassit RA, Meneguello MO, Santos RVT, Almeida ALR & Costa Rosa LFBP (2003). DAGGER®HPDagger®HP is a unique hybrid formula that has been suggested to

promote circulating testosterone levels. The components presented

in Dagger®HP may turn any average training session into a high-

powered, explosive workout. Our team at Infinite Labs® has combined

specific ingredients that may promote optimal training results for the

athlete looking to take their workouts to the next level.*

Dagger®HP offers three full grams of D-Aspartic Acid in each

serving—an ingredient that has been clinically shown to maximize

the release and synthesis of luteinizing hormone (LH) and promote

endogenous testosterone levels during training. Additionally,

Dagger®HP utilizes Agmamax®, a research-based, patented version

of Agmatine Sulfate that has been shown to enhance nitric oxide

synthesis in humans, causing vasodilation and increased oxygen

uptake of the working muscles.*

When testosterone levels increase in the body, estroen levels

have a tendency to rise as well. For this reason, Dagger®HP

incorporates Vitex Agnus Castus, also known as the chaste tree,

which contains active compounds known as agnosides that may

work to reduce estrogen levels and enhance luteinizing hormone

levels (LH). A caffeinated component has been added for that extra

stimulant effect, and in combination with the lipid-lowering effects

of Calcium D-Glucarate and L-Carnitine Tartrate, Dagger®HP has

been suggested to systematically set you up for the most effective

workout by promoting free testosterone circulation, enhancing

oxygen utilization, and simultaneously supporting the ideal fat

burning environment.*

CYCLO BOLAN®NT

L-Histidine is a derivative from the amino acid, Histamine. Histamine is a hormone/chemical transmitter involved in the regulation of stomach acid production and serves as a mediator of immediate hypersensitivity in allergic reactions. When released from cells, histamine causes vasodilatation and plays a key role in the production of red and white blood cells. Supplementation with histidine has been suggested to support muscle carnosine concentration.*

DHEA, or Dehydroepiandrosterone, is a hormone generated by the body and controlled by the adrenal gland. Both male sex hormones (i.e. testosterone) and female sex hormones (i.e. estrogen) depend on the body’s production of DHEA, as it is a precursor to all sex hormones. Its natural for the levels of DHEA to decrease with age, thus adequate supplementation is recommended to help support these levels.*

Bioperine® is an extract from the black pepper fruit that is grown in nutrient-rich soils. This extract of piperine has been clinically tested in the United States and is suggested to significantly enhance the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients via increased absorption.*

Infinite Labs® Cyclo Bolan NT® combines unique ingredients to devise one of the most effective testosterone boosters on the market. Our formula is simple, contains no fillers, and works exceptionally well to boost testosterone levels simultaneously with muscle gains. Cyclo Bolan NT® promotes strength gains, greater muscle growth, testosterone optimization and healthy levels of estrogen and DHT conversion.*

Tribulus Terresteris is a natural testosterone booster that works with the Lutenizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH). Tribulus supports the production of LH, in turn, promotes testosterone levels. Testosterone plays a crucial role in the development and growth of muscle, thusly suggesting tribulus and its potential role in body composition and athletic performance improvements.*

Horny Goat Weed (also known as Yin Yang Huo, Inyokaku, and Herba Epimedii) is a common botanical used in Japan and China. Research suggests that Horny Goat Weed may help promote endogenous testosterone levels. Studies have also suggested energy support, prevention of adrenal exhaustion and potential anabolic effects in regards to the increased levels of testosterone.*

Stinging nettle root is a type of nettle that acts as a natural testosterone booster by helping keep the testosterone molecule free from the carrier protein - sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). By freeing up testosterone from SHBG, free testosterone levels remain high, which can facilitate muscle growth. SHBG prevents the testosterone molecule from binding with its specific receptors in the muscle cells and helps keep testosterone circulating in the blood for extended periods of time. Nettle root has also been suggested to support testosterone levels by helping reduce its conversion to dihydrotestosterone. While testosterone has anabolic effects on muscles, dihydrotestosterone imposes negative effects. By incorporating nettle root into your diet, this conversion of testosterone may be thwarted, thus providing more readily available anabolic testosterone.*

Cordyceps sinensis is a fungus that has been utilized in traditional Chinese herbalism. Cordyceps are adaptogens that may be a potential aid in supporting general health, promoting endurance, and boosting testosterone levels.* It is suggested that the testosterone support is due to polysaccharides and/or glycoproteins present in the cordyceps that are similar to LH in structure and bind to the receptors of LH, thusly stimulating the production of testosterone. Like other adaptogens, cordyceps may promote physical endurance, while simultaneously decreasing fatigue.*Yohimbine is an alkaloid with stimulant effects naturally found in Yohimbe Bark. Yohimbine has been suggested to promote fatty acid mobilization from fat stores by increasing noradrenaline (norepinephrine) levels and providing support in stamina and endurance. Specifically designed to aid physique recomposition, yohimbine extract may facilitate the development of lean mass.*

LIFE WITHOUT TESTOSTERONE IS LIFE WITHOUT REWARDIFBB PRO JOE PALUMBO

January of 2010, I decided to start my prep for an additional Pro Bodybuilding show. Just six weeks before the event, while performing dead lifts, I suffered an injury causing my biceps and rotators cuff to tear. Naturally, not being able to train effectively, I suffered at show time. November of that year, I had the surgery to repaired my biceps and rotator injury, and the amount of damage that I sustained from that injury caused a 9-month layoff from training/dieting with only rehab; letting the healing take its course, this meant there was to be no hardcore training/dieting during that time.

I am no longer in my 20’s and full of testosterone; my body took a fast downward direction, resulting in depression. I gained fat weight, became sluggish, was tired a lot, lost muscle, and lost strength.

When I went to my doctor, he informed me that my testosterone levels were very low, and between two and four million men in the US alone suffer from below-normal testosterone levels—a condition known as hypogonadism. Most men don’t know that depression, or a depressed mood, can lower their testosterone levels. Some men don’t recognize signs of their own depression, or are reluctant to seek help to treat depression symptoms, nor do they understand that restoring testosterone levels can actually decrease symptoms of depression. When I would look in a mirror, it was like I had never trained. I had hit rock bottom; the extra fat, not training to my fullest, and the depression was all acting like a sponge, taking testosterone out of my blood.

By late 2011/early 2012, I started slowly training to make a comeback to hard core gym training and get myself in shape. I needed to start from the beginning and plan a training, dieting, and nutritional regimen for building muscle, getting strong, and losing fat. With the combination of training and dieting, I felt like everything was now back in play. However, I understood that low testosterone levels could make it harder to exercise, which

could potentially lead to another malicious cycle of inactivity and reduced hormone levels. Infinite Labs had just added their test booster, Cyclo Bolan®NT, as well as their IGF-GH enhancer, Cyclo Rem®, to their product line at the time, and with the help of these two supplements, I had all of the necessary tools to successfully accomplish what I had set out to do.If you want something bad enough, you can make it happen at any age. It’s a matter of planning according to your needs. Never let age, injuries or anyone get in the way of accomplishing your goals.

Do you need a testosterone supplement?

TAKE THE QUIZ >>

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you may benefit from a incorporating a testosterone supplement into your regimen. After the age of 30 (for some men even sooner), testosterone levels naturally begin to decline. Signs of low testosterone are often subtle and can be mistaken as a natural part of aging.

A number of physical shifts can accompany low testosterone levels. These include, but are not limited to:Increased body fatDecreased strength and/or massFragile bones

Increases in estrogen levels Swelling/tenderness in the breast tissue Increased fatigue Effects on cholesterol metabolism

More recently, the words testosterone or steroids create unpleasant stigma, however there is no strong evidence to support that testosterone causes violent, aggressive or uncontrollable behavior. In fact, the opposite appears to be true; many men with low testosterone levels are described as being more irritable, or having a short fuse. These problems are often improved with normalization of testosterone levels. Testosterone boosters can be much safer then testosterone replacement. A National Consumer News and Advocacy Publication recently published an article that was critical of testosterone replacement therapy. The publication cited risks of topically applied pharmaceutical products. It referenced

a possible increased risk of heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events from the products. Conversely, there is good amount of supporting evidence that is in favor of natural hormone replacement therapy.

Testosterone is a key hormone that has numerous important and beneficial functions in men. Testosterone can benefit a male’s body by increasing muscle mass and strength, decreasing body fat, improving one’s mood, killing bad cholesterol, and enhancing sexual endurance. By using natural testosterone support products on a regular basis, you may support your body’s normal hormone production, in addition to seeing strength gains. Infinite Labs® Cyclo Bolan®NT combines unique ingredients that may qualify it as one of the most effective testosterone boosters on the market. Specific to Cyclo Bolan®NT’s unique blend is the inclusion of cordyceps extract. This amazing mushroom extract has been shown to stimulate the supra renal glands and increase hormonal secretions and blood flow. Cordyceps have also been used for centuries to treat male and female sexual dysfunction, such as hypolibidinism and impotence. Preclinical data of the effects on mice showed sex-steroid-like effects.1 Human clinical trials have similarly demonstrated the effectiveness of Cordyceps in combating decreased sexual drive.

At 53, I am back to being JOE SWAT—a tactical law enforcement and Pro bodybuilder. Keep your eyes out for me on stage competing again, and as always, train safe, train smart, and train to succeed.

CYCLO TEST™

MECHANISMS OF TESTOSTERONE AND THE ANABOLIC EFFECTS ON MUSCLEDANI MCVEY, M.S.

Multiple studies have illustrated that testosterone produces muscle hypertrophy by enhancing fractional muscle protein synthesis. The molecular basis of this anabolic effect however, is debatable. Urban et al. have suggested that testosterone arouses the expression of IGF-I and downregulates IGF binding protein-4 in the muscle. Reciprocal deviations in IGF-I and its binding protein thus offer a potential mechanism for intensifying the anabolic signal. It is unclear whether the anabolic effect of supraphysiologic quantities of testosterone are facilitated through an androgenreceptor-mediated mechanism. In vitro binding studies, Saartok et al. suggested that the androgen receptors in almost all tissues are either saturated or downregulated at testosterone concentrations that are at the lower end of the normal male range. >>

EDITORIAL REPORT

CYCLO TEST™

TESTOSTERONE SUPPORT

Cyclo Test™ acts synergistically with any bulking regimen to generate an ergogenic environment that significantly enhances free testosterone and Human Growth Hormone levels. By combining unique components that work together to amplify the growth factor while simultaneously regulating estrogen levels, Cyclo Test™ has been specifically designed to increase your anabolic potential and help promote strength gains.*

Anabolic/Androgenic CatalystCyclo Test integrates the unique ingredient 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran, an extract from Urtica Diodica, or more commonly referred to as stinging nettle. 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran works by attaching to the sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). Sex hormone-binding globulin regulate the amount of biologically active hormones in the body mainly by binding to sex hormones. When 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran attaches to SHBG, it becomes inactive so it is incapable of binding to sex hormones. In theory, this allows free testosterone and estradiol to rise, thus promoting higher levels of testosterone and muscle growth. 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran, in combination with the testosterone-enhancing effects of Eurycoma Longifolia Jack, provides the perfect environment for optimal strength gains and lean muscle development. Bioperine® is also incorporated into this stack to enhance the bioavailability of these components via increased absorption rates.*

Growth Factor AmplificationVelvet Bean Extract is derived from specific legumes known as Mucuna Pruriens. L-Dopa is a neurotransmitter that can be found in high amounts in velvet bean extract. L-Dopa is an amino acid that converts to dopamine, which is vital for brain function and the maintenance of various systems of the body. L-Dopa enhances the natural production of growth hormone, as well as other hormones circulating in the body. While the health benefits of L-Dopa have been researched for many years, its availability from Mucuna Pruriens has only recently been revealed. It introduces a natural source of L-Dopa, thus it is biocompatible with the body and more readily absorbed. Cyclo Test™ scientifically combines velvet bean extract with the thermogenesis-stimulating effects of Coleus Forskohlii and Chelated Magnesium to ensure optimal absorption and enhance hormonal levels.*

Estrogen ManagementCyclo Test™ is specifically devised to stimulate the production of testosterone and other anabolic hormones, while simultaneously minimizing the impact of estrogen on the body. The metabolism of estrogen occurs via one of two pathways: the [destructive] metabolic pathway (16 alpha-hydroxylation) or the [favorable] metabolic pathway (2-hydroxylation). Indole-3-Carbinol has been suggested to shift the production of estrogen metabolites away from the destructive 16-hydroxy towards

the more beneficial 2-hydroxy metabolites. Indole-3-carbinol is converted by stomach acid to diindolymethane (DIM) and indole (3,2,b) carbazole (ICZ). DIM yields more [beneficial] estrogen metabolites, which compete with testosterone for protein binding, thus helping to maintain higher levels of free testosterone. Indole-3-carbinol, in combination with the hormone-balancing effects of other various ingredients such as D-Calcium Glucarate help to promote the detoxification of excess estrogen circulating in the body, which ultimately promotes increased levels of testosterone.*

<< Thus, it is possible that the supraphysiologic amounts of androgen produce muscle hypertrophy through androgen-receptor-independent mechanisms, such as via an antiglucocorticoid effect. Androgenic steroids, however, possess a very low affnity for binding to glucocorticoid receptor. Therefore, androgen modulation of glucocorticoid function via a post-receptor mechanism or by regulation of glucocorticoid-mediated gene expression has been assumed. The effects of androgen and their potential to be carried out via non-classical binding sites cannot be overlooked. The consequences of testosterone on the muscle are controlled by a number of various influences such as the genetic makeup, the status of growth hormone secretory, diet, exercise, cytokines, thyroid hormones, and glucocorticoids. Testosterone may also influence muscle function by its effects on neuromuscular transmission. It is also probable that athletes using supraphysiologic quantities of testosterone may train harder due to the alleged behavioral effects of testosterone; this could incidentally stimulate muscle hypertrophy.

The structure–activity relationships of androgenic steroids are not well understood. Until recently, it remained unclear whether the myotropic activity of androgens could be detached from their androgenic activity. Receptor binding studies in the rat seminal vesicle have insinuated that the changes in the effects of nandrolone, an androgenic steroid declared to be more anabolic than androgenic in its actions, and testosterone, the prototypical androgen, may potentially be related to the fact that 5-a-reductase increases the affnity of testosterone, but reduces the affnity of nandrolone for the androgen receptor. 5-a-reductase is an enzyme involved in steroid metabolism that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), an androgen with a greater affinity for androgen receptors, in the cytoplasm. Thus, in relation to testosterone, nandrolone may potentially have a greater proportional effect in the tissues with low 5-a-reductase activity such as the muscle, in comparison with tissues with high 5-a-reductase activity like the prostate. >>

CYCLO TREN™

TESTOSTERONE SUPPORT

Infinite Labs® Cyclo Tren™ is the optimal testosterone-supporting, hypertrophic supplementation to integrate into any cutting training regimen. Cyclo Tren™ introduces three scientifically-designed matrixes to provide you with that extra boost needed to promote anabolic effects by increasing luteinizing hormone release and testosterone utilization, while simultaneously incorporating a lipid-incinerating component to help any athlete reach their goal of cutting down.*

Anabolic Activation CatalystCyclo Tren™ combines testosterone-supporting amino acid, D-aspartic acid (DAA) with the powerful, natural extract Eurycoma Longifolia Jack to stimulate the production of endogenous testosterone and to reduce the levels of bound and metabolically inactive testosterone in the body. It supports the cellular production of signal molecules that control the secretion of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and testosterone to promote the anabolic environment necessary for muscles to optimally develop and grow. In combination with Fenugreek that supports endogenous testosterone levels, Cyclo Tren™ offers the ideal arrangement of components to ultimately maximize your strength gains. Bioperine® is also incorporated into this stack to enhance the bioavailability of these ingredients via increased absorption rates.*

Lean Mass AmplificationL-Carnitine plays an essential role in energy production and increases the rate at which

fat is burned; L-Carnitine Tartrate makes a varied contribution, directly and indirectly on normal functioning of the metabolism. L-Carnitine Tartrate supplementation has been evaluated in resistance exercise-trained humans and suggested to support the hormonal responses to resistance exercise and as a recovery promoter. 3-weeks supplementation with L-Carnitine Tartrate has been suggested to reduce muscle damage produced by an acute bout of high-intensity resistance exercise in two cross-over, placebo-controlled trials. Researchers suggest that less muscle damage may have resulted due to more available hormonal receptors for binding interactions with anabolic hormones. With more hormonal receptors available for binding interactions with anabolic hormones, muscle development is potentially increased. This matrix also includes Coleus Forskohlii which activates cAMP, thus promoting a number of chemical reactions including the breakdown of fats. Moreover, cAMP has been suggested to stimulate another enzyme known as hormone sensitive lipase (LIPE). LIPE is activated as the body mobilizes energy stores; it does so by hydrolyzing triglycerides to free fatty acids in the adipose tissue. In combination with caffeine, this matrix gives Cyclo Tren™ its fat-targeting capability to ensure your body metabolizes lipids as efficiently as possible.*

Estrogen ManagementIn order to promote optimal testosterone

utilization, Cyclo Tren™ combines a matrix into its unique formula to minimize any negative effects estrogen may have on the anabolic process. Vitex Agnus Castus is a fruit-plant that increases the natural production of testosterone, while lowering prolactin levels. In combination with Diindolylmethane (DIM), this matrix promotes beneficial estrogen metabolism in both sexes by reducing the levels of 16-hydroxy estrogen metabolites and increasing the formation of 2-hydroxy estrogen metabolites. In other words, DIM converts active estrogens into inactive estrogen metabolites, thus freeing up the testosterone molecule by separating them from the testosterone-binding proteins; this ultimately promotes the circulation of free testosterone.*ReferencesAng HH & Cheang HS (2001). << Recent research suggests that the tissue specificity of androgen action is gauged by the combinatorial recruitment and activity of tissue-specific co-repressors and co-activators. With the aid of high-throughput molecular screening strategies, novel families of non-steroidal molecules with tissue and function selectivity have been discovered; these findings have illustrated convincing evidence that it may be possible to separate the myotropic and androgenic properties.

*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a steroid hormone produced in the adrenal gland of the human body. It is the most abundant steroid circulating in the blood stream and is present at even higher levels in the tissues of the brain. DHEA acts as a precursor to numerous steroid sex hormones, including testosterone and estrogen, and has been shown to drastically decline with age. It is difficult for researchers to separate the effects of DHEA from those of the primary sex steroids into which it is metabolized, thus it has been suggested that DHEA may serve the role of a “buffering hormone” which alters the state-dependency of other steroid hormones. While the precise mechanisms of action for DHEA are only partially understood, supplemental DHEA has mainly been recognized for anti-aging effects, while simultaneously supporting nerve-cell growth.*

DHEA has also been suggested to play a role in glucose metabolism; high blood glucose can inhibit the production of human growth hormone (HGH) which can lead to inefficiency in many bodily functions and negatively impact athletic performance. Researchers suggest DHEA inhibits glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH), an enzyme known for breaking down glucose. There are two glucose-metabolizing pathways in the body:

The catabolic, energy-yielding pathway The anabolic, biosynthetic pathway

G6PDH happens to be the first enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway, the one which results in the synthesis of fatty acids and ribose; in other words, G6PDH turns glucose into fat. DHEA’s inhibition of G6PDH may redirect glucose from anabolic fat-production into catabolic energy metabolism, thus promoting a leaner metabolism.*

Exact dosages for humans have not been clearly established. Daily dosages range from 5 to 10mg to as much as 2,000mg, with 5, 10, 25 and 250mg being the range for typical capsule and tablet sizes.* DHEA is typically split into 2-4 daily doses, particularly at the higher dosage levels. Researchers have suggested that DHEA may in fact be the most significant endocrine biomarker identified, and all of its effects may be explained by its action as a precursor hormone which provides “a host of steroid progeny with which to maintain the broad balance of host responses related to species and individual survival.”* By encouraging balanced levels of glucose and insulin, promoting proper hormone function and supporting immune system function, DHEA may be useful to potentially promote efficient anabolism and metabolism.*ReferencesArlt W, Callies F, Koehler I, et al. Tribulus terrestris is a vine plant that is native to temperate

climates in areas of southern Europe, southern Asia,

Australia and Africa. It has a long history of uses, from

promoting muscle development to supporting overall

health. Tribulus has been suggested to stimulate levels

of testosterone and luteinizing hormone (LH), while

simultaneously supporting energy levels, recovery time

and muscle gain. This effect is claimed to be mediated via

steroidal saponins within the Tribulus, which allegedly block

central testosterone receptors. The active compound in

Tribulus is the saponin, protodioscin, which is similar in

structure to dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).*

Many clinical studies involving Tribulus terrestris

consumption in humans have produced equivocal results

in regards to the effects it has on testosterone and LH

levels. Regardless, Tribulus terrestris has been advocated

to promote optimal hormonal levels that can potentially

establish the anabolic environment necessary for muscle

gain and development.*

POST CYCLE SUPPORT

Cyclo Dex™ acts by metabolizing active estrogens into inactive estrogen metabolites, blocking estrogen, and by eliminating excess estrogen from the body. It integrates research-based, anti-estrogen ingredients that allow you to receive all of the anabolic benefits without the negative side-effects that are typical with increased levels of testosterone.*

Anti-Aromatase/Estrogen ManagementThe estrogen-blocking matrix in Cyclo Dex™ contains ingredients such as Diindolymethane (DIM) to further enhance the effects of circulating testosterone in the body. DIM is known for its ability to convert active estrogens into inactive estrogen metabolites. These metabolites essentially free up the testosterone molecule by separating them from the testosterone-binding proteins, such as sex hormone-binding globulin; this ultimately promotes the circulation of free testosterone. Along with DIM, Chrysin is also included in this matrix for its suggested role in limiting aromatase activity- the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. Zinc has a reputation for being closely interrelated with testosterone and has been shown to safely improve testosterone levels throughout the

body, while Calcium D-Glucarate works to stabilize abnormally high levels of estrogen. These, in combination with the natural testosterone-boosting effects of Japanese Knotweed Root, minimize the presence of estrogen molecules in the body and ultimately promote the utilization of testosterone.*

After a training session, the body is in a catabolic state “breaking down of

muscle tissue” with a deficit in protein synthesis. This is due to the MAPK

signaling pathway that is activated post exercise, which is the body’s own

way of signaling muscle growth. The purpose of this pathway is to increase

protein synthesis, however it is not as effective as when combined with

the BCAA signaling cascade. These two pathways act independently from

one another, so when adequate amounts of BCAAs are consumed after

a workout, the body enters a greater state of hypertrophy with a positive

amount of protein synthesis.*

CONVERT YOUR STRENGTH INTO INFINITE POWER

BCAAs are the essential aminos: leucine, isoleucine, and valine.

The combination of these amino acids makes up approximately

one third of skeletal muscle tissue in the body. As the building

blocks of protein, they play a major role in the process of protein

synthesis. As food goes through the digestion process, the

protein that the food contains is broken down into individual and

short chains of amino acids; they are then minute enough to be

absorbed into the bloodstream.*

• INCREASE SENSE OF WELL BEING AND ENERGY*

• ENHANCE PERFORMANCE AND COGNITIVE FUNCTION*

• REDUCE CORTISOL LEVELS (STRESS HORMONE)*

• IMPROVE MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE*

CYCLO REM®HP

Infinite Labs® Cyclo Rem® is designed to promote physical and mental recovery, increased duration of REM sleep, and optimal hormone secretion and IGF-1 conversion. It is enhanced with ZMA™ (Zinc Magnesium Aspartate) and GABA (Gamma Amino Butryic Acid) to support significant increases in growth hormone. Cyclo Rem® also helps support IGF-1 conversion. It promotes optimal cognitive function, increased metabolic processes, reduced cortisol levels and an overall sense of wellbeing.*

GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid)GABA is a neurotransmitter that acts to reduce communication between nerve cells in the brain, thusly producing a calming effect. Research suggests that GABA increases the amount of human growth hormone in the body and might support healthy sleep cycles and decrease disruptions during sleep.*

DMG (Dimethylglycine)DMG is a nutrient found in meat, grains, and beans. It is defined as a methyl donor, and methyl donors are involved in a process called methylation. Methylation is necessary

for the health and life of cells and for the synthesis of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and other chemical compounds in the body. Methyl donors such as DMG are important for energy, alertness, and concentration. Moreover, DMG may enhance oxygenation at the cellular level, and some research indicates that DMG may enhance oxygen utilization during situations of oxygen deficiency. Due to this enhanced oxygenation aspect, it is suggested that DMG supplementation may boost athletic performance. DMG has also been suggested to decrease lactic acid build up in the muscles.*

ZMA™ (Zinc Magnesium Aspartate)ZMA™ has been clinically suggested to increase both anabolic hormone levels and muscle strength in trained athletes. Zinc is an essential element to numerous chemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis and cellular energy. Moreover, magnesium is essential for normal heart function, transporting neurochemicals essential in muscle function and mood regulation, and in the critical balance of sodium and potassium within the cells.*

5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan)5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid that is the intermediate step between tryptophan and the important brain chemical serotonin. Supplementing with 5-HTP may increase levels of serotonin that can support mood and our ability to get a good night’s sleep.*

MelatoninMelatonin may be effective in aiding sleep and combating fatigue. It has been suggested to be a powerful antioxidant and an effective free radical scavenger. Further new research suggests that melatonin may stimulate the natural production of human growth hormones.*

There is a limitless amount of scientific literature correlating sleep with muscle recovery. It is said that there are three components to bodybuilding: nutrition, training, and rest. Even the best training, supplement, and diet routine will not compensate for insufficient rest. While sleeping, the body produces growth hormone and engages in protein synthesis. In order to successfully build muscle, your muscles must constantly adapt to the workload forced upon them during intense workouts; without adequate rest, your body will fail to adapt.*

SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS AND USEAs a dietary supplement, adults take one (1) serving at bedtime or as recommended by a physician.

Pro Z™ is a scientifically designed anabolic vitamin and mineral formula that contains Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate, Magnesium Aspartate and Vitamin B-6. All three compounds in Pro Z™ are essential in most biological processes, and while studies suggest that many Americans consume adequate amounts of zinc and vitamin B-6, more than 50% fail to meet the U.S. government’s recommendation for magnesium. While these deficiencies are common in the general population, deficiencies of these minerals are even more prevalent in individuals who engage in physical activity, such as athletes. Research suggests that intense training and stress-related physical activity results in decreased levels of zinc and magnesium which can result in insufficient muscle repair. One study involving 250 NFL players showed that over 70% of these football players were either depleted or deficient in both zinc and magnesium.*

Pro Z™ is a natural product that has been advocated to support anabolic hormone levels and muscular performance in trained athletes. Moreover, the unique combination of these three

components has been suggested to be a natural and completely safe method of supplementation to significantly promote natural testosterone and growth hormone production. Other potential benefits of Pro Z™ include supporting muscular strength, mass, power and sleep quality. While the positive effects on enhanced sleep have not been clinically proven, many individuals supplementing with Zinc Magnesium Aspartate noted improved sleeping patterns that may have a direct impact on athletic performance and overall well-being. By providing your body with the necessary ingredients it requires such as Pro Z™, you can ensure the adequate recovery that your body needs to optimally build and tone lean muscle tissue.*

The precise recommended dosage of Zinc Magnesium Aspartate is inconclusive, however, research has suggested that the formulated ratio of the three components found in Pro Z™ is very critical for maximizing the effects. It is recommended that this product not be taken in combination with calcium, as calcium has been shown to block the absorption of zinc.*

EDITORIAL REPORT

THE MANY BENEFITS OF THE ULTIMATE HEALTH DRINK – COCONUT WATER

It’s loved by sport stars; it’s loved by Hollywood’s superstars. It’s loved by the health conscious, and it’s loved by athletes. “What’s that,” you ask? It’s Coconut Water, the ultimate health drink.

Wouldn’t you like to crack open its fresh green hard shell, and discover the health benefits within?

What is Coconut Water? The clear liquid inside young or tender coconuts is known as coconut water. Health and medical experts swear by this magical liquid, calling it an elixir for a healthy life and a nutritional gold mine. Coconut water is now gaining wide popularity across the globe for its numerous health benefits, resulting in drink manufactures to bottle up this miracle to sell them on store shelves for a profit.

The Nutritional Content of Coconut WaterThis simple clear liquid is known to be a storehouse of nutrients. The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations states that, “Coconut Water is full of natural electrolytes.”

Coconut water has 95% water content; this makes it a healthy, low fat fluid choice. Coconut water is rich in potassium, magnesium, calcium, vitamin C and B and zinc. It is this mineral content that increases the nutritional value of coconut water and makes it a healthy option for rehydration after stressful physical activity.

When Should You Drink Coconut Water? You do not need a reason to indulge in this health tonic. However, health experts recommend that the best time to enjoy this natural health drink is:

After workouts and exercise routines

On a hot summer day

After severe dehydration

After strenuous activity during which one has perspired a lot

Unlike other natural healthy foods and drinks, coconut water is delicious and can easily pass off as Mother Nature’s tastiest tropical cocktail. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? But, you ought to believe it!

The Miraculous Benefits of Coconut WaterBefore you reach for a bottle of your favorite aerated drink or fruit soda, you should consider these health benefits of coconut water first.

Coconut water has low fat content and is therefore a highly recommended option for weight loss diet plans. Instead of reaching for high calorific drinks, substitute them with coconut water for a health option.

It is shown to increase metabolic rates in the human body, thus aiding in weight loss.

It is rich in electrolytes and hence is beneficial to the body’s natural functions and processes.

It has excellent rehydration properties and can be consumed as a health, energy or sports drink.

It can be consumed while recovering from illnesses such as dysentery, stomach flu, intestinal worms, cholera, malfunctioning kidneys and constipation.

Drinking coconut water and applying it to the skin is known to hydrate skin and give it a youthful, radiant glow. Coconut water has antioxidant properties which makes it a cosmetic wonder.

It has also recently been shown that coconut water has excellent anti-carcinogenic effects.

Although coconut water is highly recommended, and its consumption once a day is known to provide long lasting benefits, its overconsumption is advised against because of the high content of natural sugars. However, the benefits of coconut water make it a must have for good health. After all, coconut water is considered to be the purest liquid in the world—after water.

Not all proteins are created equal.

Bio-availability represents the percentage or scale rating of how much your body can assimilate certain protein sources. Your body and digestive systems absorb some proteins better than others. Certain sources will provide a higher amino acid profile.

THE USE OF PROTEIN IN WEIGHT LOSS

You may have often heard of your favorite celebrities following a strict, high protein diet. Athletes, sports stars and body builders, too, swear by proteins. So what exactly is protein and what does this substance do to your body? How beneficial is it and the hype surrounding this substance worth it? Let’s find out….

What are Proteins?Large biological molecules which consist of chains of amino acids are known as proteins. Our bodies and the various cells depend on proteins for the smooth and optimal functioning of the body’s various systems. It is difficult for the human body to survive without protein.

Foods which are rich in proteins include meat, beans, eggs, dairy products, seafood, poultry, soy products, seeds and nuts. There are plenty of options for protein consumption for young ones, teenagers, adults and seniors as well as vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Why Do We Need Proteins?Proteins can be easily dubbed as the “building blocks of the human body.” There are quite a number of reasons why we need protein in a diet. Let’s explore a few of these reasons.

Protein is important for cell growth. Dietary protein plays a significant role in the wear and tear of cells. They help repair damaged cells, and they also favor the growth of new ones.

Protein is highly recommended for optimum functioning of the body during childhood, adolescence and pregnancy.

The structural integrity of cells in the human body and the body’s normal growth is dependent on proteins.

Proteins are essential to build up the body’s mechanism against illnesses and diseases.

Proteins promote tissue repair.

Proteins are a source of energy to the body.

Proteins are lost daily by the body; therefore, to replenish the level of proteins in the human body for its optimum functioning, consumption is recommended on a regular basis.

Protein for Weight LossThe highly publicized high protein diets celebrities swear by are not just a passing fad. Proteins diets do work, for weight loss and for building muscle. So, why are proteins an essential part of your weight loss strategies?

1. A Smooth Functioning Digestive System When the human body digests proteins, the residual substances left behind are amino acids. Amino acids help

the body to break down food items consumed; therefore, they aid digestion. A smooth functioning digestive system is the very first prerequisite for weight loss.

2. Cravings are SatisfiedWhen you consume protein, you curb your appetite. Foods rich in protein are also delicious; this also helps you satisfy your cravings and urges for tastier food. Consuming proteins will leave you feeling full longer; therefore, you do not have to satisfy those hunger pangs constantly.

3. Protein Burns FatProtein burns fat in the body to use it for various processes such as tissue and cell repair. Its fat burning properties make protein-rich food a healthy alternative for weight loss.

4. Protein Tones the BodySince protein burns only fat and builds muscle, it helps you tone your body. When combined with an effective exercise routine, proteins can help you achieve a desired physique.

Proteins do not contain magical weight loss properties. In fact, their mere presence in your body is beneficial to weight loss. Supplementing with alpha lipoic acid is of particular importance to bodybuilders and athletes due to the amount of oxidative damage that is a direct result of intensive training regimens. Oxidative damage lets loose these free radicals throughout the body, which is why antioxidants, both natural and supplemental, are vital.*

By making more energy available to the working muscles, pyruvate may play a beneficial role in extending endurance and improving performance in aerobic athletes.*

Ubiquinol is an electron-rich, or reduced form of coenzyme Q10. Co Q 10 has been marketed as a critical component of human metabolism and an active nutrient that moves between two states: the oxidized ubiquinone, and the reduced ubiquinol. When in the ubiquinol state, its ability to be integrated into the body is enhanced, while simultaneously developing its additional feature of being a first class antioxidant.*

The cycling action of Co Q 10 helps it achieve its metabolic goals. Ubiquinone picks up electrons, thus turning it into ubiquinol. Ubiquinol releases electrons and becomes ubiquinone, and the cycle continues with this pattern. The ability of Co Q 10 to move electrons around is a critical component in the production of energy, the regeneration of antioxidants in the membranes of cells, and in the construction of other imperative biological molecules.*

The electrons moved about by Co Q 10 facilitate the chemical reactions that permit broken down fats, sugars and amino acids acquired from food to be utilized as fuel in the mitochondria and to also produce ATP. Ubiquinol works with lycopene, Vitamin E and beta-carotene to prevent LDL oxidation by giving up electrons to other oxidized molecules in order to rejuvenate them. This process incorporates the transformation of ubiquinol back into ubiquinone, which must then be re-converted. Since ubiquinol is a form of Co Q 10 that can transform into ubiquinone, all the aids of Co Q 10 as ubiquinone are accessible with ubiquinol supplements.*

Joint support is especially necessary for those individuals who subject themselves to a highly active lifestyle; most athletes and bodybuilders are constantly loading and unloading their bodies depending on their particular training regimens. Joint support combines glucosamine and other vital ingredients to help promote healthy connective tissue and cartilage.*

B vitamins are water-soluble vitamins that are dispersed throughout the human body and play a critical role in cell metabolism.*

SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS AND USEAs a dietary supplement, adults take three (3) tablets twice daily, preferably with a meal.

SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS AND USEAs a dietary supplement, adults take 2 (two) tablets 1-3 times daily, preferably with meals. We recommend using this product with a rigorous diet and exercise program for optimal results.

INFINITE SBR ENDURANCE™

SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS AND USEAs a dietary supplement for adults, mix one serving (two scoops) with approximately 14-16 ounces of water. Best when used on an empty stomach approximately 15 to 30 minutes prior to training. Do not exceed recommended servings. To avoid sleeplessness do not take within 4 hours of bedtime.

Infinite SBR™ Endurance is a multi-stage formula that combines a unique ratio of sodium, potassium and other electrolytes while incorporating a blend of key ingredients to support every type of endurance activity.*

Engaging in any type of strenuous activity naturally results in a decline in electrolyte levels and energy stores, and replenishing these levels is necessary in maintaining electrical activity in the muscle cells. Failing to replace these stores can result in muscle cramping, weakness, fatigue and overall decline in athletic performance. Infinite SBR Endurance is a multi-stage formula that combines a unique ratio of sodium, potassium and other important

electrolytes while simultaneously incorporating a blend of key ingredients to support every type of endurance activity.*

As energy stores in the body become depleted from aerobic exercise, the Stamina Blend combines two different variations of complex carbohydrates necessary to replenish these stores and help an athlete last longer. Additionally, the added glycerol component helps to promote adequate hydration during exercise to support the working muscles and decrease fatigue.*

The Energy Blend includes ingredients such as creatine to help buffer a lactic acid environment and agmatine sulfate to promote more oxygen to the blood vessels. In addition, the patented-version of beta-alanine, Carnosyn®, is also included in Infinite SBR™ Endurance which has been shown to increase anaerobic threshold and promote greater performance output in clinical studies.* Due to the increase in oxygen utilization during endurance exercise, free radicals become more prevalent throughout the body. >>

<< Free radicals are atoms with an uneven number of electrons formed when oxygen interacts with particular molecules. Free radicals have been shown to cause oxidative damage that negatively impacts the working muscles and other tissues within the body. To decrease the prevalence of free radicals, antioxidants have been shown to safely interact with these radicals and act as a defense mechanism towards oxidative damage.

The Recovery Blend in Infinite SBR Endurance includes the antioxidant properties of acai and additional compounds such as Alphaketoglutarate which help to combat these free radicals and promote muscle regeneration—making it the perfect complement to any endurance activity.*

INFINITE SBR ENDURANCE™

ELECTROLYTES AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE TO ATHLETES

Being an athlete is not easy. As an athlete, one has to focus not only on the right exercise routines on a regular basis, but he / she also has to watch what is consumed by the body through food and drink. An athlete’s food and drink consists of items which are beneficial to replenish the body after rigorous training routines, workouts and before important athletic events. These food items and various health drinks are the source of energy for every athlete.

Almost every health and sports drink will have a label which reads “Electrolytic solution.” Have you ever stopped to wonder what “electrolytes” mean?

What are Electrolytes? When certain minerals / substances are dissolved in water, they break up into small particles called ions which are electrically charged. These minerals are called electrolytes and their fluid solutions are known as electrolyte solutions. Some of the most common electrolytes are calcium, magnesium, chloride, phosphorous, sodium and potassium.

Why are Electrolytes Essential for the Human Body?Electrolytes serve the human body in various ways. Some of the bodily functions which electrolytes influence are:

Creating electrical impulses in the body Aiding muscular contraction Aiding healthy cell functioning Regulating pH balance in the body Rehydrating the body Regulating nerve impulses, heart functions and

digestive systems

Electrolytes are lost by the body through excretory processes, especially through sweat. It is very essential to replenish the electrolytes which have been lost to keep the body functioning optimally.

The Importance of Electrolytes to AthletesWhen there is an electrolytic imbalance in the human body, dehydration begins to set it. If the body is not replenished with electrolytic solutions immediately, the dehydration will give way to delayed reactions, muscle cramping, fatigue and low energy, thus affecting performance.

Athletes lead active lifestyles. Their regimen usually consists of rigorous workouts, exercise routines, sports and athletic events. This high level of activity leads to higher losses of electrolytes due to sweat. To avoid electrolytic imbalance and the repercussions which arise from it, athletes need to continuously replenish their body with electrolytes. Severe electrolytic imbalances have known to trigger serious consequences during important athletic events such as marathons.

It is highly recommended that athletes should drink electrolyte solutions frequently during physical activity, exercise and workouts, whether you feel thirsty or not. It is also necessary to rejuvenate the body with electrolytic solutions after physical activity.

Electrolytes can be found in fresh fruits such as oranges, bananas and strawberries. Infinite SBR™ Endurance arious brands of health and sport drinks also contain electrolytes such as potassium chloride and sodium chloride. Snacks, such as sport bars meant for post workout bites also contain electrolytes in them.

Maintaining Electrolytic Balance in the BodyIt is important to bear in mind that maintaining electrolytic balance is essential not only for athletes. Everybody needs to keep their electrolytic levels in check to ensure smooth functioning of the body and its various processes. While athletes can ensure peak performance with the use of electrolytes, one can keep their body energized with electrolytes.
