The renowned Superstudio of Milan gets to the appointment of rebirth on the occasion of Milan Design Week with two major events in two different locations. The first one: R/EVOLUTION, a new exhibition format based on many curatorial exhibitions on current topics and two spectacular interactive pavilions at Superstudio Più. The second one: DESIGN BEYOND DESIGN, it’s an event including five inauguration days in the new Superstudio Maxi exhibition centre with many multidisciplinary activities, from photo exhibitions to design, talks, videos, performance, charity sale of love objects. Two great sculptures tell the sense of our events. “Marta e l’elefante”, the work of Stefano Bombardieri symbolizing the effort of recovery, located at Superstudio Più. “Divine”, the work of Flavio Lucchini, that brings a message of art, design, fashion, beauty, located at Superstudio Maxi.

After the stop that blocked the Milan Design Week in April 2020 and 2021, the city and all its activities will restart in September with renewed enthusiasm. Superstudio will present a new format, an edition of rebirth and change, Made in Italy, a glance on new horizons, thematic and curatorial exhibitions, Women, human technology, digital and virtual. Superdesign Show 2021 September - Special Edition will take place at the well-known Superstudio Più in via Tortona 27: a great hub and a mouthpiece of innovation and creativity since 20 years. The new concept introduces a rethought path open to the new design that welcomes all the instances of concreteness, innovation, lightness, sustainability, inclusiveness, interconnection arising in the year after the pandemic. 12 curatorial exhibitions deal with current topics such as the icons of the new millennium, female creativity, the house guided by Artificial Intelligence, new production techniques, living and working open air and others. Superdesign Show 2021 September – Extension, with Design Beyond Design, a composite multimedia and multicultural event where design will be seen in its different communicative expressions (art, video, photography, performance, architecture, publishing, workshop…) is instead the occasion to discover the just finished venue Superstudio Maxi in via Moncucco, a large, elegant, technological, sustainable exhibition space that fits into the greenery of the Barona district, an area that is increasingly renewing and that is also a scenery of urban regeneration projects, signed by the major studios of architecture.

Curated by Francesco Pirrello, art-direction Ayan Gouled Orsini. SMART HOME - and the house decides for you The house driven by artificial intelligence is not science fiction, it's reality. In two independent pavilions interactive installations to discover home automation with three great international brand Haier, Hoover and Candy. Project by Bonsai Ninja. DREAM CARS - innovation and elegance fly on 4 wheels The emotion of an iconic brand like Lamborghini awaits in the first pavilion with an interactive installation. A proof showing how design, the purity of forms combined with performance and innovation, are in the DNA of the dream car, which is renewed every time. Installation project by Carlo Ratti. HENRYTIMI – artinterior “origine dell’originario” MMXXI, installation by artist henrytimi, pure materials to return to the original state of things, monochromatic and monomaterial elements to build objects beyond fashion, refined sensibility to design the new. ART CHALLENGES – artists, exhibitions and special effects The relationship between design and art through two extraordinary events. The presentation in Milan of Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery, newly born and already a “chain” of homonymous galleries recently opened: three in Forte dei Marmi and a great one in Dubai with its international artists. It presents two exhibitions curated by Ettore Mocchetti at Superstudio: “Surprise! Art tells" with works by Stefano Bombardieri, including the sculpture of a life-size elephant that flies held by a little girl and talking at phone with visitors. In addition, there will also be the group exhibition with artists Manù Alguerò, Mario Arlati, Pablo Atchugarry, Tiziana Lorenzelli, Flavio Lucchini, Antonio Signorini, Gustavo Vélez. In the showcase on the street, the installation “Visions-47 #2” by Nava + Arosio, artists Stefano Bombardieri and Manù Alguerò intervene on the Pila armchair created by the architects for Rubelli Casa. Con due grandi eventi in due diverse sedi il famoso Superstudio di Milano si presenta all'appuntamento della rinascita in occasione della Milano Design Week. Il primo: R/EVOLUTION, nuovo format espositivo basato su molte mostre curatoriali su tematiche d'attualità e due spettacolari padiglioni interattivi al Superstudio Più. Il secondo: DESIGN BEYOND DESIGN, cinque giorni di inaugurazione nel nuovo centro espositivo Superstudio Maxi con molte attività multidisciplinari, dalle mostre fotografiche al design ai talk ai video alle performance alla vendita charity di oggetti d'amore. Due grandi sculture raccontano il senso dei nostri eventi. “Marta e l’elefante”, l’opera di Stefano Bombardieri, simboleggia lo sforzo della ripresa, al Supertudio Più. “Divine”, l’opera di Flavio Lucchini, porta un messaggio di arte, design, moda e bellezza al Superstudio Maxi.

Dopo la lunga pausa che ha bloccato le settimane del Design a Milano previste per l’aprile 2020 e 2021, la città e tutte le attività riaprono a settembre con rinnovato entusiasmo. Per Superstudio questa sarà l’edizione della rinascita, del cambiamento, del nuovo format, del Made in Italy, dello sguardo sui nuovi orizzonti del mondo, delle mostre tematiche e curatoriali, delle Donne, della tecnologia umana, del digitale e del virtuale. Superdesign Show 2021 September - Special Edition si terrà al ben noto Superstudio Più di via Tortona 27, il grande hub da vent’anni portavoce di innovazione e creatività. Il nuovo concept introduce un ripensato percorso aperto al nuovo design che accolga tutte le istanze di concretezza, innovazione, leggerezza, sostenibilità, inclusività, interconnessione, scaturite nell’anno del dopo-pandemia. 12 mostre curatoriali affrontano temi d’attualità quali le icone del nuovo millennio, la creatività femminile, la casa guidata dall’Intelligenza Artificiale, le nuove tecniche di produzione, il vivere e lavorare open air e altri. Superdesign Show 2021 September - Extension, con Design beyond Design, un evento composito multidisciplinare e multiculturale dove il design sarà visto nelle sue diverse espressioni comunicative (arte, video, fotografia, performance, architettura, editoria, workshop…) è invece l'occasione di scoprire la venue appena terminata Superstudio Maxi in via Moncucco, grande spazio espositivo elegante tecnologico e sostenibile che si inserisce nel verde del quartiere della Barona, zona in totale rinnovamento, scenario di progetti di rigenerazione urbana firmati dai grandi studi di architettura.

R/EVOLUTION Il nuovo evento della Milano Design Week 2021 al Superstudio Più propone una r/evolution del nostro format abituale di grandi installazioni scenografiche e diventa più simile a una mostra d’arte che a una fiera: con lo stesso rigore, con la stessa armonia, con la stessa cura “museale” che contraddistingue da sempre il nostro evento, Superdesign Show propone un susseguirsi di aree tematiche, collettive e a volte individuali, ciascuna con un curatore competente e indipendente. Aree che raccontano il meglio della produzione italiana e internazionale, le tendenze del vivere oggi in casa e fuori, con un focus sulla creatività femminile, sui giovani e sulle icone dell’inizio del terzo millennio. DREAM CAR – innovazione e eleganza volano su 4 ruote Nel primo padiglione con una installazione interattiva attende l’emozione di un brand iconico come Lamborghini. Testimonianza di quanto il design, con la purezza delle forme unite alla performance e alla innovazione, siano nel DNA dell’auto dei sogni, che si rinnova ogni volta. LE SFIDE DELL'ARTE – artisti mostre e effetti speciali Le relazioni tra design e arte attraverso due eventi straordinari. La presentazione a Milano di Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery, nata da poco e già “catena” di omonime gallerie di recente apertura: ben tre a Forte dei Marmi e una grandissima a Dubai con i suoi artisti internazionali. Al Superstudio presenta due mostre a cura di Ettore Mocchetti: “Surprise! L’arte racconta” con opere di Stefano Bombardieri tra cui la scultura di un elefante a grandezza naturale che vola trattenuto da una bambina e che parlano al telefono con i visitatori, più la collettiva con gli artisti Manù Alguerò, Mario Arlati, Pablo Atchugarry, Tiziana Lorenzelli, Flavio Lucchini, Antonio Signorini, Gustavo Vélez. Nella vetrina su strada l’installazione “Visions-47 #2” di Nava + Arosio: qui gli artisti invitati Stefano Bombardieri e Manù Alguerò intervengono sulla poltroncina Pila creata dagli architetti per Rubelli Casa.
