QUICK LINKS Economic Development City Economy Unit B usiness Events MESSAGE FROM MAYOR WENDY WALLER Mayor Wendy Waller [email protected] The historic signing of the Western Sydney City Deal was a huge win for the people of Liverpool. Signed by the State and Federal governments and eight of the councils most affected by the development of Western Sydney Airport, the deal sets out a range of commitments, including infrastructure like road and rail, an Indigenous Opportunity Hub and a liability fund for each council. One of the most exciting opportunities for Liverpool is the establishment of an Industry Attraction Office in the Liverpool CBD. The Federal-State-Local Industry Attraction Office will attract jobs and industry to the Aerotropolis and joins WSA Co, the company that will build and run the airport, in the heart of our city. The decision to base these two organisations in Liverpool sends a very clear message: if you want to be part of the airport and the opportunities that will grow up around it, you need to be in Liverpool.
