    RE: Student Council Reports on Student Issues and Concerns for June and July 2013

    Dear Fellow Student Leaders,

    Greetings of solidarity!

    Another academic year has started and with it comes a new set of issues faced by the students. As

    elected representatives of the student body, it is our mandate to not only know their issues but to

    struggle and come up with solutions together with the student body.

    In line with our unified goal in serving the student body of the UP System, the Office of the Student

    Regent would like to ask you to submit a comprehensive report on the student concerns and issues of

    your constituent unit for the months of June and July 2013.

    Attached herewith is a document to guide you in crafting your comprehensive reports. Please send yourreports on or before July 25, 2013 via email to [email protected]. For queries, please do not

    Guidelines for Your Council Reports

    1. The report may be divided into several parts with the first part containing an overview or summaryof the current situation of your respective college. Succeeding parts, then, must discuss the issues

    mentioned in the first one provided that each part will be devoted to one (1) particular issue. In

    order to guide your Council in discussing these issues, you are requested to provide answer to the

    following guide questions.

    a. What is the issue all about? How is this affecting the student body?b. Are there evident manifestations of the issue? Please provide details.c. What primary actions did the concerning council do to address the issue?d. What are the future plans of the concerning council regarding this?e. Are there other entities helping you find solutions? Explain what and how.f. What are your recommendations for the OSR to help you in this?Note: The questions above only serve as guide. You may opt to include all necessary information

    which you deem relevant and important in understanding the issue.

    2. Attach necessary files as appendices. These include, but are not limited to, letters, proposals, surveyforms, statistical analyses and council statements.
