By simply naming the page the ‘Table of Contents’ the magazine automatically gives itself a formal feel, which is possibly wrong for the target audience but does show them that it’s a professional product.
By having several graphic features on the contents page, the magazine makes it easier for the audience to see if the magazine suits them as the pictures relate to a few different articles.
The contents list is organised in a very structured way, which helps to make the I formation easy to read. However, this layout isn’t particularly attractive to the target audience, as there is nothing interesting about the layout or the font.
By having the contents page in a very neutral colour scheme, it makes itself seem very formal. This might not attract the majority of the target audience, as it looks like it’s aimed towards an older generation. However, the page as a whole does look very professional which might get some attention.
