We are Gifted and We Are Called When disciples of Jesus Christ act in a gracious manner to all those they meet,

they provide a glimpse of home. This home is not in a house in a particular

location, but it is a home prepared for all of us for eternity. No matter how

comfortable we may be in our earthly homes, it truly pales in comparison to

eternity with God. In that heavenly home, there is no darkness, only light. There

are no tears, only joy. There is no hate, only love. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------

When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out,

he found him and said,

“Do you believe in the Son of Man?” (Jn 9:35)

We Wish to thank our

Parish’s Volunteers &

Benefactors!

We are now about halfway through Lent and it can be easy for us

to become frustrated if we experience trails or

downtime in our lives. Let us be honest, most of us

have failed at keeping our Lenten resolutions. We

must remember that we have time left to work on our

goals. Keep in mind that Jesus knows our weaknesses

and we have his assurance he will walk with us.

Mary Queen of Peace is

responding to Bishop Warfel's

invitation to join this nationwide

effort to assess, expand, and

communicate resources to

pregnant moms and families in need. You will be hearing more

throughout the year. We will begin with Spiritual Adoption on

March 25th, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord and

the 25th anniversary of the papal encyclical Evangelium vitae

(The Gospel of Life). Spiritual Adoption is a family friendly

program based on an idea by Archbishop Fulton Sheen in which

participants pray for a specific, but unknown, unborn child

during the nine months of development in the womb. The

spiritually adopted child is known only to God. We will provide

development updates throughout the nine months so you can

follow the baby's development. We encourage you to name the

baby that you are praying for. Spiritual Adoption emphasizes the

power of prayer in safeguarding life in the mother's womb. Our

prayers can also be a form of spiritual support for both of the

baby's parents. Please prayerfully consider adopting a baby. We

will have prayer cards available for you at the table in the back

entry.
