Our Reverse Trade Show will be held on Tuesday March 1, 2011! The theme is “Come Steal the Show”, Caribbean pirate style with a networking luncheon, open to all, held immediately afterward. Make sure you get registered. I look forward to seeing you there! March is National Nutrition Month, Youth Art Month, and Music in Our Schools Month. Lent begins on the 9 th and Daylight Savings Time starts on the 13 th . The Davis Productivity Awards announcement is scheduled for the 15 th and two days later we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Spring begins and the Iditarod mushers and their dogs compete before the snow melts. Whew! Have some fun! It's finally getting warm! We do not have a speaker this monthdue to the Reverse Trade Show. We have 24 agenciesparticipating along with 52 vendors. It's a great way to meet thevendors face to face, possibly increase your vendor base anddiscuss new opportunities and have a great time doing it. If youhave not registered yet please do so. The pirate-themederse Trade Show will be followed by a Networkingcheon from 12:00PM to 1:30PM that will take the place ofMarch General Monthly Meeting.

Chapter needs your support in registering your agency tond and informing your vendors about this event. EarlyRegistration for vendors ends February 1, so don’t wait to

Call to Order: President Donna Smith called the meeting to order at 12:05 PM.

Invocation: Keith Milton, FDLE

Minutes: A motion was made and seconded to approve the January minutes. Motion passed.

New Members and Guests: No new members or guests were announced.

Job Opportunities: No new job opportunities were announced.

President: President Smith reminded the membership that a few more tables were available for agencies to register for the ReverseTrade Show on March 1

st. There will be 2 classes for vendors following the RTS.

Treasurer: No Report.

Introduction of Speaker: Vice President Threewitts introduced Beverly Smith from Tallahassee Community College, WorkforceDevelopment program coordinator responsible for IT programs. Ms. Smith informed the membership of the classes available in theevening “Tech at Night” program; a good way to learn or brush up on computer skills as well as other programs offered through thecollege.

Monthly Drawing: There was one drawing for a free lunch in February, won by Julyn Hussey.

usiness: Trade Show theme ideas for October 11th – Destination… a travel theme. So far we have “Destination: Success”tted by Brenda Wells to be decided at the next board meeting. Officer and Board member attendance to be added to the byas tabled. Bobby Hinson has respectfully declined as the trade show chair. An email will go out to the general membership toe have a volunteer to chair the Trade Show for October.

FMP sent Reverse Trade Show invitations to 15 zip codes around Tallahassee, Gainesville and Jacksonville. OSD has agreed toe RTS in their newsletter targeting minorities, Gloria Dixon will call FAMU, Wendi Sellers will contact Leon County Minority Officee League of Assoc. of Counties. The March lunch will consist of networking with the vendors, Invocation and Pledge. Donnawill have vendor place cards placed randomly on the tables for networking opportunities. Lunch will be at 12:00 PM. The houseittee will arrange for the flag, Invocation, and coffee and donuts in the morning. All details handled by the committee wasned and approved. Allegiance Security Group donated reusable totes, mini flashlights and can cozies for the RTS.24 Agency participants have signed up and 52 vendors.
