Gina Gould Magnetation Mining, LLC 102 NE 3 rd Street Suite 120 Grand Rapids, MN 55744 Dear Hiring Manager: I have chosen to write a letter of recommendation for Joel Watson because I would like to highlight his skills as a safety professional. I have worked with Joel for the last three months on a major industrial construction worksite and have seen these skills firsthand. As Safety Coordinator to the host company and general contractor, I am responsible for assisting the various safety professionals when addressing hazards or concerns. Joel and I have worked together on several issues, where he has shown his safety skillset. Joel has the knowledge and understanding of standards, regulations, and compliance requirements. He has shown proficiency in OSHA regulations, and also ensures that his contracting company complies with any in-house requirements set forth by the general contractor and host company. Joel has shown that he is both willing and able to work with others at identifying, addressing, and mitigating safety hazards. He understands the importance of “visibility,” and therefore spends his time in the field, taking care of not only his own crew but other contractors’ as well. Joel is very approachable and the workers do not hesitate to contact him with their concerns. This is one attribute that makes a safety professional very effective in their endeavors. I am confident that Joel will have a successful career in the safety field. I am sure that whomever he works for next will be appreciative of his presence, just as I was here, at a major industrial construction site. Sincerely, Gina Gould
