Lockdown Live is a programme of live learning sessions, devised in response to the announcement by the Scottish Government on 4th January that school buildings will be closed to most pupils until at least 1st Feb

e-Sgoil is focussed primarily on the delivery of

live teaching to pupils across Scotland. As part of the National

e-Learning Offer, the following onlineeducational provision is available during the period of remote learning from 11th January,

to support Scotland’s schools in providing the best teaching/learning possible for their pupils.

We are working with a wide range of partners to bring this varied and high-quality

programme to fruition and are grateful to each of them for their expertise and

commitment to Scotland’s young people.

Headteachers can contact us to discuss their requirements using this ENQUIRY FORM e-Sgoil will continue to offer throughout lockdown a timetable of live,

interactive online classes using Microsoft Teams in Glow. These programmes provide rich teaching and learning from GTCS-registered teachers and approved partners.

In addition to providing live teaching to shielding learners, it is anticipated that this provision may be required to support schools faced with teacher shortages during lockdown.

An extensive programme of 29 courses and one-off learning sessions focussed on employability, sustainability and wider achievement. Learning sessions are delivered by partners of e-Sgoil, using Microsoft Teams in Glow.

Throughout the COVID crisis and beyond, e-Sgoil will continue to help schools tackle inequity of curricular

opportunity and acute teacher shortages by delivering a range of digital services and

projects, including specialist remote supply cover, curriculum enrichment opportunities,

Gaelic and other language classes and educational provision for Interrupted Learners (those unable

to attend school for a variety of non-COVID related reasons).
