WHAT IS WeTALK?

WeTALK is a high fidelity, low tech

simulation that teaches effective ways

of communicating with patients. It is a

personalized, resource intense, learner-

centered education approach with proven

effectiveness in improving communication

skills.

We use short didactics and demonstrations

to teach specific skills and then

improvisational theater in small groups to

practice, reinforce and affirm the new skills.

WeTalk relies on highly skilled actors and

faculty facilitators who identify and engage

each participant at their “learner’s edge”

to individualize the lesson and enable each

person to repeatedly practice and hone

newly acquired communication skills.

WeTalk focuses on discrete skill sets specific

to the learner’s needs and can be tailored to

your particular communication challenges.

Participants will leave the conference having

improved their communication skills and

having developed an individual learning plan

for the rest of the year.

“This was such a wonderful and useful lesson. The ability to have feedback on teaching and practice teaching is amazing. This would be an amazing contribution to academic medicine and residency training.”
