Hello parents, carers and friends of Sandy Beach Public School, Last Wednesday we held our Annual Presentation Day Assembly where many students received awards. Congratulations to those students as well as all our other wonderful students who may not have received recognition at this assembly. All students are valuable members of Sandy Beach Public School. Some families have been a part of the school for a very long time now and have come to the end of a long chapter. Thank you for your contributions to the school. The school is certainly better for having you as part of the school family. I would particularly like to wish our Year 6 leavers of 2019 all the very best for their future education. I would also like to thank some of our staff for their contributions to the school this year who are moving on. Mrs McNab who has been a casual teacher here for over a number of years and Mrs Backhouse who has been our Literacy and Numeracy Support teacher this year. Also I would like to thank Mr Rob McMahon and Vikki Shorter who have worked over a number of years in the roles of school learning support officer. Hi everyone

On behalf of the P&C we would love to thank everyone for their contributions to all of our fundraising events whether it be Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, sausage sizzle or meal deal days, Tavern nights or discos! Without you all we wouldn’t of been able to donate a massive $10,000 to the school to go towards new signage, iPads, part of the climbing frame, robotics equipment and more. We would like to thank Alicia our canteen manager for all of your work and outstanding efforts! It certainly has been appreciated! Thanks again to Katrina, who has been a long-standing valued member of the P&C and has acted as treasurer for the previous six years!

Next year we have many events on throughout the year including our fete! Many hands make light work we hope that you can join us.

Our first meeting back will be held on Monday 10th February, 7pm in the staffroom! We invite you to come along!
